Replace HTC Lockscreen, an Incredible Find!

Did you change your easy wake mode? With easy wake on you should see the buttons. Without it you should see the slide. I want to see if I can make this configurable independent of easy wake in the future.

Oh, okay. I have only had it a day and never turned that feature on, so I have always had the slide. Didn't even realize that it could be different :)

I actually like the slide for calls and I don't have a need for the easy wake mode to be on, so I will just leave well enough alone.

No just checked and easy wake is checked. I tried both unchecked and checked, and the phone comes with the htc up and down mode.

Thanks Kevin, for the great app. I like being able to add a custom slider but I only want ONE slider. I'd like to be able to either customize the default slider or create one and delete the other. Is this possible? Or am I just missing a setting that would allow for this?

EDIT - Wow, I literally figured this out right after I posted. All you have to do is create a custom slider and then go into settings > Look & Feel > Slider & Layout and click no slider. It gets rid of the default slider.

Kevin you rock!

still nobody helped me.

LOCKBOT PRO has this way....

SCREEN OFF -> press any button -> LOCK SCREEN ON , slide to open

HOW with WIDGETLOCKER?

I've replied by email and posted here.
Go to Menu, then Settings, then Advanced, then enable Easy Wake Mode.
Is this not working?

In this way it goes from screen off directly to home screen, without interfece widgetlocker and slide etc......

You said you're using the back button to wake up right? Does it go directly to home for any button or just the back button?
If just the back button either disable or increase the duration of back button unlock (Settings > Buttons & Inputs > Back Button Unlocks or Back Press Duration)

Noticed there was an update today. Just wanted to mention I'm still seeing the lag when booting the phone for the first time (Sense is loading). Not sure if that was one of your bug fixes but its still happening on my phone.

Thanks Kevin!

No, I'm still looking into it. I'm hoping I'll find a way to work around it from userspace but I'm also digging into the kernel sources.

Awesome!!! I just re bought this app after seeing all the updates you've made in such a short period of time! I paid a dollar more but you deserve it! Thanks for being so responsive and actually caring about your customers and the app!

Kevin rebooted my phone and my calls are coming in as before. They where coming in with the HTC swipe down or up to answer or decline. Now the phone has the buttons to answer or decline. Thanks

Holding Back Arrow to unlock phone causes haptic feedback, even if feedback is disabled.

edit: The setting specifies for Slider only, but it would be nice if that setting affected your Back Button also. I'd imagine most people either want the feedback on or off, regardless of unlock method. An extra config option never hurts though.

I may be missing something obvious, but is there anyway to get rid of the "long press to drag/drop" notation on the custom widget locker slider that appears between the camera/brightness slider? I don't like the way it looks.

I think what you're.looking for is in settings/advanced. Option is called "hide interaction warning"

Drag that slider to the trash and add your own Custom Slider (Add > Widgets > Custom Slider (top of the list)). You can put camera and brightness there and leave the center blank, or configure it however you want.

With lock screen on boot up it seems to not let the phone wake up all the way. The rest of the phone didn't load until its unlocked first. Normal?

+1. same here. i have let it sit and waited a while before unlocking the first time, to see if maybe i just wasn't waiting long enough, but every time i unlock the first time, i see the "htc" screen and then everything starts to load.

LOVE the program. One question though...

I know you can set the original slider to toggle between vibrate and sound only (I removed the Silent option). Is there any way to incorporate that setting into the custom slider? I want to use the custom slider with lock on left, camera in middle, and volume control on right, but I just want it to toggle between vibrate and sound, no silent mode.

Thanks!

EDIT: How does this program handle alarms? Will I get the default slide to turn off or press to snooze? I am using the default HTC alarms.

When I receive a call it is not showing the lock screen...is there any way to get the locks creen to show so I do not accidentally answer phone calls?

I had this question too...decided to try it out by setting an alarm to go off while the phone was locked - I couldn't find any way to turn the alarm off. The standard WidgetLocker lock screen came on with no option for silencing via the lock screen (that I could find). Sliding to unlock didn't silence the alarm.

Furthermore (and maybe I just fail at turning off alarms...but then, I've always turned mine off via the Sense slider) I actually couldn't find ANY way to turn off the alarm and ended up restarting my phone to stop the beeping.

So, is there any way to silence (and hopefully snooze) alarms via WidgetLocker?

Good question this happened to me this morning and I had to reboot phone in order to shut off the alarm...my wife was yelling at me by that time lol. Will wait for a resolution :)

Are you using WidgetLocker Home Helper as your default home, and is Settings > Behavior > Appear on Boot checked?

When you switch to Ringer it will ask which mode you want. Since the default is ringer you'll have to switch to something else and then back to Ringer.

I believe the Sense Alarm is working fine on the Droid Incredible and the EVO. However I have received reports that it is NOT working on the Desire. What should happen is the alarm should appear in a little dialog just like if your phone was already on when the alarm sounded.

This is dependent on Easy Wake Mode. You can turn it off and you'll get the standard slide up/down behavior. I'm looking into if I can make this configurable independent of easy wake.

Are you on the Incredible or the Desire (or something else?

This is correct. HTC really messed up with this in my opinion. They should have a notification or at least something in the app to let you turn it off. You could probably use a task killer and maybe I'll add some method of doing that to WidgetLocker, but as far as I can tel there isn't even a way for a third party program to know the alarm is going off.

I think I talked to you by email and you indeed are on the Desire. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I installed the Froyo leak for the Incredible. I was hoping it would fix the trackpad wake issue but unfortunately it does not. Has anyone else installed it and can they test Handcent popups to see if the on screen keyboard covers the popup text? I don't have service on my Incredible but I believe Froyo fixes the problem (It does on the Nexus One at least).

In regards to the alarm: I'm on an Incredible (no Froyo/OTA). I didn't see any notification or dialogue box option to turn off the alarm.

I actually checked to see if I could turn off the alarm through my task killer...there wasn't an obvious alarm process for me to kill, but I didn't look too hard. Keep in mind that if you code it to kill the Sense clock (I assume this would kill the alarm, I'd have to check) the recurring alarms won't restart unless manually activated. (This took me a few days of being late to work to figure out!) So that likely wouldn't be the best fix.
