Root [ROM][4.0.4][BETA] CM9 for Virgin Mobile and Sprint 10/3/2013

Hmm both of my SD cards mounted just fine. Internal at /mnt/emmc and external at /mnt/sdcard.

Spaz, how did you try to restore data?

If you are Trying to use the internal SD card for storage then go to settings>storage>menu button>storage configuration>check use internal storage. You need to reboot after that. Next update I'll make internal storage default again but still switchable with sdcard. (Should of done that in the first place)
 
So with this Rom flashing is the same as any except i just cannot restore my data which kind of sucks but oh well.

Do i need to format my internal memory and what does sneaky_1 mean by not using giantpune's gingerbread kernel. Does the Rom come with a new kernal that will just overwrite the old one. Lastly what is the Gapps suppose to do?

No you do not need to format your internal storage. This rom comes with its own kernel and will just overwrite the old one. Gapps is Google apps and installs things like Google play store

No you don't need to format internal sd.

Just don't flash another kernel. This Rom comes with its own kernel.

Gapps is the Google apps that come with android phones, like Talk and Play Store.

I'm going to try to restore data with some apps with titanium backup and I'll let you know how it works.

Works wonderfully, I can do with-out the camera and nfc for a bit. The flashlight option is disabled in the power toggles but I take it that comes with the camera. Great work I would like to donate please.
 
i did not know if you spammed android version you got android with ICS body ^^

The flashlight not working is probably related to the camera.

No but the kernel that comes with the rom has the same features as giantpunes kernel since it's based on his kernel source with my modifications to make it compatible with ics and I also added 3 new governors to the kernel.

I'm not sure how credible bug reports are going to be from people that are restoring data from a stock based gingerbread rom to CM9. Same if someone is running a non stock kernel.
 
Is it possible to for example backup up the Amazon Kindle app and it will already be set up and good to go after i restore it?

13 Minutes remaining in till i can flash the goodness that is CM9! Could be shorter or longer depending on VM 3G. i know i am throttled but sheesh! then again 34Kb for download is not that bad.
