Root [ROM][4.0.4][BETA] CM9 for Virgin Mobile and Sprint 10/3/2013

Uploading new build. added tethering options. I know USB tethering doesn't work but maybe someone can try bluetooth tethering for me still working on wifi tethering and also makes internal sd card default but you can switch that with a sd card. will update the OP with instructions. I updated the script to not format data but if you haven't flashed CM9 then you will need to do manually in the recovery. Also you need to reflash Gapps.
 
You can change sleep options in the wifi settings. Settings>Wifi>menu button>Advanced> Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep
 
Man you have changed the whole phone man great stuff.You have opened up some real things to this phone now.Just curious about the camera i know at this point who cares but any clues why it doesn't work. Would love to poke around and see what's up.

I sure the camera stuff is way too advanced for me. I would need to recruit some experienced devs . Also updated OP with the new build.

Nevermind, it went thru

Gets to 99 percent and fails. Man the last couple days have been lovely
 
Okay I got from installed! However the play store app latest version crashes and the playstore website does not deliver my apps.is any one elese having these problems?Back on the Gapps are they in apks or do I have to flash it and if so how?

Wipe cache and dalvik then reflash the gapps zip.

Very tempted to flash, but I like to have a camera....
Maybe a quick flash for a preview and back to current ROM......
 
OK finally got the 4 13 build installed. SD still isn't mounting but the storage was recognized right off the bat so at least I have the 2gb to use. I'm sure y'all will work it out soon enough.

Despite my sd issue everything else is fantastic. The SD is so far the ONLY thing that's not working besides what's in the op. Loving the rom so far thank you .
 
Alright play store is working! the only problem I have is wifi tether not working! please fix that I can deal without the camera but I need the wifi tether for work. is there an different app I could use? if not okay I made a nandriod backup of previous rom so could always flash to that.
 
oh yeah by the way people that are having the 2gb memory problem, why not try booting into recovery and mount for USB from there( I think you can even mount SD card from there,too) and see what happens.
 
I was able to get wifi tethering to work using a 3rd party app called "Wifi Tether for Root Users" with the following settings

Device-Profile: Generic ICS/JB (wlan0)
Change Setup-Method: WEXT (ad-hoc)
MSS clamping checked
Routing fix checked

Ill update the OP.
 
Glad to see the Elite finally has a CM rom. The Elite is a good little phone with exception of data issues, but maybe that can be fixed in CM.

Good job everyone working on this
 
Well it seems Wifi Tether(the app) does in fact work despite the error it gives it just does not tell you how much you have uploaded and downloaded( You can find both on you computer)

Oh yes i noticed google talk crashes. Is any one else experiencing that? Maybe its data related.

Damn you beat me!!

I still get the error but who cares it works!! Do you get an error after tapping the wifi tether? maybe i should reinstall the app?

The Log says Loading Wifi Driver failed.
