Root [ROM][4.0.4][BETA] CM9 for Virgin Mobile and Sprint 10/3/2013

could someone please repost a link to the gapps, the one on goo's server is missing. or has a issue.. I can't download it at all..
 
Hello guys! I just installed the new CM9 and was wondering if there is any way to get my apps from my previous ROM MIUI and have them run on CM9. Restoring data from nandriod backup of MIUI works but I really can not do anything. Phone app crashes no statusbar and if is unstable. I had this same problem trying to get apps from CM9 to run on MIUI. Maybe app data is not compatible?
 
This rom development is very exciting ...once phenom has the ics stable and the hickups all worked out it'll mean being able to have a lot more roms built from his source. PA, AOKP etc. Good stuff :D

i would so love to have roms like paranoid android for this phone >.< i hear alot of great things about it...its stuff like this that put a little more faith in my optimus elite, a phone i got for around 40 bucks :) oh btw im also excited about how far phenom has come to finishing the rom i mean its barely been over two months and look at how much hes accomplished!:D

This is probably a stupid question,..( ha ha ) but how can the "screenshot" function work & the basic "camera" not,...Obviously I know nothing of how these things work!!...lol

Doesn't use the actual viewfinder /camera hardware ...like how DMMS works on SDK
 
Does anyone know if this version has the google services? Such as being able to import contacts from Google, sign into the play store, GMail, etc. If not, how can I add those services myself so I can use this ROM?

I appreciate any suggestions. The Google Play store is important to me, and so is being able to sync my calendar, and my contacts. I have a tablet that runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean (Complete version - 8" screen).

I know some of this is try and see, and I will, but how do I add the google services after I install this rom, (Assuming they are not there)?


P.S. I apologize for my previous post. I was just frustrated, but that is no excuse. I hope you can forgive me.
 
Not knocking this beta, but, for me, its not quite ready for prime time.
My phone will sometimes ring, and then hang up, before I get a change to answer. Other times, it'll ring, with no ringtone.. and then I'll get a voicemail. Weird. Yet another time, I've got the android has failed, and closed message setting at the home screen.

I changed the performance settings to be performance, and set the min CPU to 7xx and the max to 10xx.. (I forget what the xx number are).. didn't seem to help..

I like the changes, and everything else seems to run smoothly.. I just can't have this phone act up like that. (its a work phone).

phenomx4 has done an awesome job on this, and he should be congratulated on everything that he has done so far..

Some problems are "device specific", they're very tempermental lil suckers!!!...lol
 
Thanks a lot for this Rom! It's beautiful but just a wee bit laggy, perhaps due to running stock clock speeds. I'll look into overclocking it and see how that helps, otherwise an amazing Rom!
