Root [ROM][4.0.4][BETA] CM9 for Virgin Mobile and Sprint 10/3/2013

I was using this rom up until today. Good rom, just the lag is crazy. I've had the process "Android System" or something like that force close on me several times. Tried all the suggestions people have given.

Yeah, I know it's laggy but I'm working on some memory management tweaks, so hopefully they work or atleast reduce the lag.
 
Looks like auto focus works now. I notice it taking pictures with the same resolution as our screen. 320x480

I really haven't had any super bad lag issues. Once I found a clock speed that worked well with this device. Also keeping cache cleared made a difference. Disabled sync etc. Performance isn't horrible but once the camera is squared away and the EVDO then I'm sure he'll be fine tuning it. Its like 90% stable imo. The progress has been amazing considering there's no ics source and ics forward is wayyyyyy different than gingerbread on almost every level. Good work phenom. :thumbup:

Also I use Apex Launcher and as I previously stated that I disable ALL animations. I also
disable background data(requires manual refresh)
Rebooting once a day helps alot also...granted I'm sure Phenom wants it where there's no need for work arounds and feature disabling etc...its getting there :) Also keep in mind every device behaves differently.
 
Awesome to see things still rolling over here.I just gave away 3 of my elites to some people that needed a phone.I'll always come back and check this thread.Great work phenom.:thumbup:

My optimus elite, a little laggy, was most tolerable with your ROM installed.

I just could not take the network not working anymore.
Loving the new F3.
 
It sees my router but when trying to connect the signal drops and restarts trying to connect (I'm 10ft from router)
 
I give you props Phenom for putting aside your own time into breathing new life into this old device :) Ive been using your port of cm9 as my daily driver since its release in April and have watched it grow astoundingly. I think I can safely speak for all users of this ROM when I say we are very grateful and are waiting in agony of how close you are to finishing (seriously I wanna through my clock out the window just so time could go faster). I also want to add that I am getting better performance and memory (smartassV2 FTW). Everything is smooth no hiccups as far as ive seen the only problem I keep getting is that my wifi won't connect its weird because I'm in the same room as the router and it'll say full bars but when I actually press to connect, the signal will drop all of a sudden when retreiving the IP and it'll retry over and over, plus I also experience drops in my reception when trying to connect to wifi. I reflashed and tried again, twice but sadly the problem still persists :( does anyone else experience this?
 
I haven't done anything with the wifi so I don't know what's going on. If you can get a logcat that'd be great .

You do amazing work, it at least (the camera) is connecting up now & thats Great, even though this is my back-up device I'm keeping it so I can test or anything else with it for the "Elite" community.....You guy's are the Best!!!
