Whats the difference between this rom and AOKP?

Lots of more options, slightly more stability, much faster than anything else. Overall it's just pretty amazing.

I don't think I'll go back to CM9 due to the problems I experienced. This doesn't give me much confidence in CM10 either. The # of FCs and issues AOKP reduced over CM9 is 100%. We shall see...

\m/

I couldn't have said it better! Totally agree. This [the AOKP ROM] is so much more smooth and stable.

+1 on the AOKP ROM, unless you prefer CM9 and are not experiencing instability on your LG Optimus Elite.

I have actually found one small little bug my phone tends to not let me connect to wifi and connect to bluetooh both at the same. but as long as i dont connect to wifi and bluetooth every thing works without an issue

phenomx4, I'm really not trying to be an ungrateful pain, but would you please take a crack at fixing the "all of us have the same WiFi MAC address" issue? I believe this same issue occurred with Harmonia, and Leslie Ann and/or ktb88 were able to solve it. I'm not trying to say that to show that they are "better than you" or anything like that, just to let you know that they might have an easy solution. If you don't have the time and/or desire, I completely understand. Thanks again for all of your work on our behalf.

I must second this! I would love to be able to have my wife and I running one of your sweet roms. But they all have the same MAC address so my wifi is useless to atleast one phone! Our 3g service is horrible so wifi is a must!!

I'm trying to get the wifi mac addresses figured out.

I have been on the 9/17 build since a couple days after it came out. It seems like it got more stable as the days went bye. I no longer get the white screen issue at all. I got it a lot the first few days and also a few reboots and it just seemed like it needed time to settle down for lack of a better term. I am going to update to the newest build and see how it goes, but I am very happy with the way it is running now. One thing I did do was freeze the dsp sound equalizer thing as it seemed to be using RAM and I really was not interested in sound tuning. Not sure if freezing that app matters or not?

Glad it's been running well for you. Freezing dsp manager shouldn't mess anything up.

Hmm I've got decent battery life on cm9. Aokp has some battery saver options built into the rom if you want to check that out.

Battery life for me jumped up BIG time since dumping the stock VM GB ROM. My phone is no longer dead after 8-10 hours. I'm over 12.5 hours on battery @ 66% charge left. I used the phone to listen to streaming Bluetooth music on my 40 minute commute (both ways) and it has been on all day.

** Edit **
Oops, wrong thread. I am on AOKP now.

Robert, thanks so much. This did the trick for me. How did you find the file so quickly? I've been googling for days, and no one knew what file had to be changed in order to change the MAC address. Well, whatever the case, thanks for your reply.

I'm the one that had the problem way back one page 20something :), just remember to change it on one phone every time you flash an update and no problems. Till they figure out a perm fix....thanks for this kick ass rom its so glossy smooth

I'm trying to get the wifi mac addresses figured out.

Seems to be a semi known issue with newer roms. Found some info here for Sony experia, and here ofr the galaxy ace. Perhaps one of out geniuses could come up with a quick run/flash script to change back to the hardware coded mac, or instructions to editing out own back into the OE. For now, I'm going to add the cm9 mac and see if that fixes my wifi.
