Root [Rom][5-26-12]Broken Out Spectrum 3.0 w/ Blitzkrieg Kernel

Is there any ready to get to the screen where I can change how the phone transitions from screen to screen? like the preferences menu in 2.0

That is because 2.0 was running launcher pro I believe. 3.0 is running xperia launcher, so it is a different launcher. You can install any launcher that you want, launcher pro if you want and when you hit the home button it will ask you which one you want to open to. you can also set any one as default. the preferences are within the home launcher application.

I finally convinced my gf to let me root her Spectrum and install this ROM. We're both very happy with it. Just wanted to say thanks to mt!

Cliff notes on battery life in bo 3.0?
Compared to previous bo roms and stock
It seems to be better than 2.0,but it's far better than stock.

I restored my phone to factory settings but bricked it when I tried the OTA update for ICS. I got my phone back up and running but want to install ICS. How do I do it? Is there a benefit if I plan on installing Broken Out 3.0?
Benefit compared to....? If you're comparing to stock, then yes, definitely. If you're comparing to older bo versions, I personally would go with 3.0,but 2.0 was great too.

I think I didn't word my question right. My question is what benefit is there to upgrade to ICS before installing BO3?

Also got BO3 running and it's SWEEET! Glad to get my bluetooth back!

Nice work!!!

MTM, did you increase charge rate or is it still 650mah?

Thanks!

Do I have to remove CWM totally? How would one do this?

Also is the Bluetooth working with 3.0?

Thanks!

OK, First, where did you find an OTA update for ICS?
If you are referring to the LEAKED, DEV ONLY version that is around, then you are lucky to have not killed your radio.

I think that the actual OTA update for ICS will enable World radio function for the Spectrum.
There is something to do with licensing on a certain date that I believe is the issue with the leak...

Good to hear that you got back up and running.

Things I'd like to see in the next version:

Video camera auto focus. (when recording video)
To be able to access the camera right from the lock screen.
3G-4G toggle in stats bar.

Is it possible to help with the audio quality of VOIP apps? One I use (Viber) was so excellent on my old phone, but now that I have it installed on my spectrum the quality is just not the same. Is it possible to maybe (include a setting)to increase the mic gain? I think thats why people have such hard time hearing me using VOIP apps..

I must be doing something wrong, i see that people are saying that battery life in 3.0 is better than 2.0 but i've seen the opposite, and by a fair margin. I could go a whole day (with 3 hours of tower hoping) on a full charge (7AM to 10PM) and i would have to charge it every once in a while if i had a spike in usage earlier than 10PM but now it seems like i can't even make it past 6PM without the phone being completely dead. Just yesterday it was dead by 4PM i charged it on USB up till 40% and it died again by 7PM.

What should i do?

What cpu speed and governor are you using? Also, have you added any new apps/widgets with 3.0 that you didn't use in 2?

I will say the drain during usage seems to be more rapid on LTE with 3.0,compared to eclipse, but the drain in standby is next to nothing with 3.0

I have been using Lagfree and bfq...the battery life has been great! I have had med use today and have 82% on 8 hours. Yesterday I used it a little more and was at 31% on 16 hours...

I do have juice defender at aggressive.

I have it set to max1.242ghz, conservative, bfq. no other changes, no new widgets or apps since 2.0. I have had it set to lte/cdma constantly on 2.0 and 3.0, i turned it onto just cdma yesterday to see if i could stretch the battery out a bit more but it didn't make much of a difference.

Do you have Juice Defender? Love that app...definitely suggest picking it up. I am constantly looking in the applications under setting and looking at my Battery Stats...is there any apps or functions that eat up your battery?

Display is what takes up the most juice, no matter the setting. It's the flaw of having a big, bright screen. I've got JD and still have a large drain on LTE... it uses more energy to connect to the towers than it does to wifi @ home and it uses more power than connecting to CDMA. No way around that, other than to use JD to kill the connection when the screen is off. The app claims it offers me 1.57x the battery life than without, but that's because I keep wifi enabled in the app (otherwise, it's disconnecting and connecting and there's a lag).

lickwidravr- Did you restore apps and app data when you updated? One issue I encountered is corrupted data when I backed up and restored.

Anyone have an issue with the notification sound or ringtone sound randomly ****ing changing... It's aggravating... Not the fault of the ROM as far as I know but just to be sure I figured I'd ask...

im getting random reboots like 3-4 times a day. does anyone else have this issue. i rooted and flashed correctly too
Did you restore apps?
Did you restore apps & data?

Restored data with apps is the #1 reason for my random reboots.

I actually didn't backup my apps/app data. When i went from 1.3 to 2.0 i didn't do a wipe and everything went smoothly, i figured i could get away with it going to 3.0 as well. If there is a way to backup my apps, their settings, as well as exchange email settings and everything, then i would happily do a wipe and re-install 3.0.

there are multiple apps to back up apps and data. I use MyBackup Root, some use Rom Tool Box or Titanium Back up. They all have the option to back up Apps with or with out data. Althought some have cited issues when restoring your apps w/ the data. I myself havent had issue, but i know MrB has, along with issues when installing more than 10 apps at once. All your emails will get resynced and set up upon the inital boot, juts like when the phone is ne wout of the box. You will have to re-adjust your peticular settings for your email accounts after setting them back up. The whole process is a little time comsuming and can be a little annoying, but will be worth it if it fixes your reboot issues. You can also do a backup in cwm and just restore your nandroid and go back to where you currently are if you have issues setting up after wiping data.

I use Titanium Backup Pro to restore data and haven't had any problems with rebooting.
