1) Download Rom
2) Boot into recovery
3) Wipe data, cache, dalvik cache
4) Format system & data ( its in mounts n storage )
5) Install zip from sd-card

this is my last stable build. I know it's not much but it's a beginning. I had so much planned until I got sick of metro. The road has been paved now it's up to you guys to build the city. I can't wait to see where you guys go from here.
 
Thanks bro. will donate friday. quick question. a2sd support or no? If not was someone still doing a custom kernel for this? I remember you were waiting on a kernel at some point. just wondering if it was part of the rom.
 
I followed the instructions you gave me and everything and wheen I tried to flash the rom it couldn't open it
Now when I tried to start the phone I get stuck in the samsung screen
Pls help!!!

Redownload the rom, put it on your sd card (don't unzip it anytime in the process), boot into recovery, flash the zip.

Most likely you can just reselect the zip file that is already on your sd card and try again.

Worst case scenario, you will have to flash with Odin. I would suggest doing a good bit of reading before trying.

Oh, and edit your help post to let everyone know that the issue is resolved, once you have your phone up and running.
 
Just flashed, booted up nicely. I noticed a few things in my short time with this ROM

- on first attempt to open quickpic it says it's not installed. Went to Google Play Store (aka Android Market) and had to Update it. Now it works fine.

- the Power Control widget comes up, but it doesn't have any buttons; just blank spaces (see screenshots below)

Oh, and the best part (for me anyway) is that mms messaging works again! Before I had to do the APN shortcut/Market access workaround, which was a pain. Thanks Mystery!

downloaded from the market-quick pic- works fine. tried converting some mp3's over to wav. cant get them to work for new start up sounds any ideas?
 
Also noticed that there are two Google Search widgets in this ROM. One is called Google Search and the other is just "Search" (they both have the Google "g" icon).

Hmm, that's the first I've seen it in a wav format. Be sure that your new file is named poweron.wav (case sensitive). Either rename or move the original poweron.wav file.

If this doesn't work, maybe make sure the two files match as far as file size and/or time. Not sure if this would fix it but it's possible.

Also, I found the shutodown sound to be an .ogg file found in system/media/audio/ui/shutdown.ogg

yep tried all that when the phone starts up u can barley hear it its all static. i quess i will just keep messin with it. thanks
 
Is it possible to remove the default music app off the phone with what you already added to the ROM?

Also is it necessary to keep super user and metroweb?
 
Yeah everything's good, only thing is thepower widget isn't showing the buttons like shown above, I can live without it but eh
 
The power widget is strange.I don't use it so I didn't notice it. The power widget is party of settings.apk. I'll look into it but I suggest extended controls from the market.
