That's weird... anyways.. I guess I am going to have to look at trying how to figure out how to compile a ROM together and see what happens... I think this phone could run alot smoother... just have to see if I can use my friend's as a guinea pig! :D

Yes but I can't get to the launcher preferences because none of the four buttons for Menu Home Back etc. work. I can unlock/lock the phone and pull down the notifications drawer...that's about it. After I reinsert the SD card I can press the Home button to load the launcher.

Do you have launcher pro moved to your sd card?
 
I don't remember everything I did exactly, but for some reason my SMS works now. I remember trying to SMS myself on stock and go sms pro and failing, and testing around with keeping APN config set manually, and disabling that without adding anything. I remember my phone rebooting once or twice throughout the day and not knowing the reason why.

I had the same problem but solved it via adb push or you could use root explorer. add both livewallpaper files inc the odex to system/app. Change permissions to read on all and write only on owner. everything else should be unchecked. Reboot. Try and see if that works

Thanks that worked. I was trying to install the apk lol.

What does it mean when it says "Updated all system apps"? Does this include apps such as messaging (to which I have not found a stable way to update from 2.3.4 to 2.3.5...)? Or just the google ones that you could update via market?

Just the Google ones. But by integrating theme into the ROM it safes internal space since there won't be a apk in system/app n data/app.
 
O.K. sorry it took so long to reply. Net working well when away from wifi if weather is good. Also for me GPS has sound. I dont seem to be having any troubles with sms or anything else stated except I too think that on occasion apps are opening themselves. Not happing very often. I am very much enjoying the new rom. I did attempt to change the boot sound however all that happened was hello went away. NEW sound does not work even though I did make sure was not longer than 3 secs. But hey the silence is MUCH better than hello was. Again thanks to everyone who helped make this possible.
 
Still very much loving my admire and this rom. However I too am unable to record or attach audio in a text. Is there a way to fix? I downloaded a seperate voice recorder and attempted to send voice file thru it. Text goes but no attachef voice file. I really would like this feature working again. Thanks.
 
Hey where would Text-To-Speech be at in the system dump or what would that app be called


This is used for txt messaging and it was erased in this rom
 
Ok so I went to system dump and moved the voice recorder apk and odex to sd. Then I used file explorer es to move them to the system app folder. I can now record audio and attach to text just not able to attach any audio already recorded. Also I folloed youtube guide and can confim flash player 11 working on my admire.

So after installing something like 3d live wall papers into the correct system/app folder what do you change the permissions and owners to ? I can't figure this out ? Help please!

Just check the permissions in other apps of the same location where you put the live wallpapers, then just change permissions the same. that should help you its easy.

sorry to bother you but i've been searching for quite a while and cant seem to find the answers i'm looking for.
could you please tell me which files are required to update my App_Server from the 2.3.4 stock to the ics App_Server ? or just point me in the right direction to do my research?

if possible i'm just gonna rip the required files from your admiral beast. if thats ok? doing a private rom since i have no experience and am just learning my p's nd q's

ok, after looking through the rom i think it might be system/bin/system_server? is this the only file needed?

LOVE the rom. Was having a few problems at first like wifi not working and home button not working but reflashed and works flawlessly.
