Root [ROM][ALPHA] Triumph CM9 v0.6.17.0 [FINAL]

Yep, that's exactly what my change looked like as well. You are good to go in the next build. Whenever that is...

Mantera you know what Gary had the nerve to say.. after I said maybe it was user error at one point.. those numbers could have been easily mixxed up..

I'm not adding an incorrect fix to the original post just because it works on a single broken ROM. I do not condone such hacks. Get the ROM author to fix the scancode issue on his end and it will work for everyone

Your scancode mantera cause its sooo wrong! *rolls eyes*
Thanks for helping me man :)

I think your scancode is just fine whatever it is.. and the rom is amazing ^_^

Oh and we must be pretty 1337 haxors if we fixed a mapping problem lol...

There's really nothing to "fix" on our end as far as what's scanning for those key codes; there's nothing that I know of that is different from stock unless TG and/or Isaac changed something. But I don't see why they would have since everything was working fine on stock. So the only thing I can think of is that Motorola/Foxconn made some non-standard changes in their drivers/code.

But either way, I say just tell him thanks for his help and we can move on. I don't care if it works on anyone else's rom; just that it works on ours. :)

Amen brother ^_^

Happy Valentine's Day!

I flashed CM9 yesterday on my triumph and Ive noticed a few things. First, when Im in a web page and I double click the screen to zoom in, it hardly ever works. I have to double click 8 or 9 times and then if Im lucky, it will work. I cleaned my screen thinking that may be the problem, it wasn't, still does it. Next, battery life seems to be horrible. A half hour ago, it was fully charged, now, a half hour later, its already down to 87%. I havent been using it in that half hour. I have the same apps on it as I did with CM7 (no apps running any more than usual), and in CM7, I was getting 2 to 3 hours before it would be down to 87%. Is there any way to get better battery life like the CM7?? without disabling everything. I never had to in CM7 and I was getting pretty good battery life. Also, Ive only charged it once with the cigarette cord but it seems like it take alot longer to charge than when I had CM7 installed. And I was running maps with the cigarette cord plugged in and I was losing charge percentage. At least when I was running CM7, the percentage wouldnt go down. Has anyone else had these problems or issues with CM9? I will update as I notice more. Thanks

This is in alpha stage. Did you expect it to be up to par on the technical functions with the CM7 triumph that is completely operational? Even for alpha this build is already amazing. You can be sure that the important nitty-gritty issues will be worked out by the final build. Until then, realize that "[ALPHA] v.(anything)" is assumed to be fairly buggy because it is in the building phase before the release of the actual testing phase (beta).

the wifi keeps disconnecting... pretty annoying when using grooveip, other than that, this rom doesnt even feel like an alpha

Yes, I understand that there will be issues with this alpha version. I was just posting to let the devs know, just in case they didnt. What better way to find bugs and issues than having the users report back any issues.

Oh, something else I forgot, when I was using maps today, the voice microphone wasnt working at all, it just froze up. Thanks guys.

Actually instead of blasting the guy give him kudos for spotting the charge issue. I had noticed the same issue. Its good to know its not just my phone

Actually I would say that bug reports are not really useful (for the most part) at this point. :( It's fine that people post them :), but I doubt the devs are too concerned with most of them yet, unless it is something that they thought was fixed already. Even then many of the reports are bugs from apps or something that isn't the ROMs fault.

I think you are both a bit right in this. It would be good to know that others have the same issue, and that this being an early alpha the reports don't help the devs a ton as there are going to be a massive amount of issues regardless.

As long as everyone is nice about it, it is ok to feel either way. Lets just not attack each other. ;)

I am not blasting anyone??? I know the devs have worked hard in getting this alpha version released. I am just posting these issues for others to see and also, feedback for features that the devs have already gotten working and if any of them happen to see these post, maybe it will help them.

I have never had my wifi disconnect on me... Do you have your wifi set to turn off when the screen goes to sleep or something?

If you don't, then I'd recommend trying a clean wipe then reflash. Also I'm assuming that you're using 0.6.5?

This might be coming out of left field but when running cm9 does anyone's phone get hot? I know that when I've installed it, a couple of times, it will physically get hot in or out of my pocket

This happens to mine as well. Only fix I've found, as stated previously, was to turn off Sync. I worry about damage being done to the chipset. It's not the battery getting hot, I can tell you that much. Once again though, ALPHA release.

I remember this happening with the stock ROM. Try Mantera's suggestion, as it doesn't happen anymore on ICS CM9. Only Wifi issue I've seen is sometimes (depending on access points) it will not re-connect automatically. I typically bounce between 3-4 access points in a day and its very sporadic as to when it will automatically connect or not.

On a side note, KUDOS DEVS!!! This is my daily ROM now. Not too mention this forum is my first stop before browsing anything else on the web!

mantera for what it's worth I have seen this happen sometimes too.. it just randomly disconnects.. though from what I've noticed it is when the screen is off. I checked my wifi on sleep and its set to always on. Dunno.

like tgenius mentioned, it's only when the screen turns off, i set grooveip to keep the screen on but theres still the issue with me accidentally hanging up with my face lol...and yes i did a clean wipe and all....it's no biggie though, just thought i would post on here and see if anyone else has the same issue.

edit: i forgot, it doesn't only happen when screen turns off, when i first flashed the ROM, wifi would disconnect and then reconnect every time i opened the stock browser...i stopped using the browser for this reason
