Root [ROM][ALPHA] Triumph CM9 v0.6.17.0 [FINAL]

Can someone please get a logcat of the -b radio, just before boot and one of toggling airplane mode on and off a few times. Austrie needs it but I'm at work and don't have a comp. Thanks again
 
Reflashed it and now its running smoothly :-) my guess is that when I have less than 200mb free on my 32gb card it tends to do funky things when flashing roms. Cause if I try to copy something over to the micro sd and it has less than 200mbs on it, its extremely slow to process that. Stupid card... anyways great job devs. Looking forward to the next update :-)

Oh yeah is there anyway to get the music to show on the lock screen for controls? I'm using the apex launcher. Thanks :-)
 
Ok, so I got the Deep Sleep problem fixed and that should be in the next build whenever that is.

Also, I think the wifi autoconnect issue should be back to the way that it was in 0.6.5. So if you weren't having a problem then, you should be back to normal and if you were having a problem then, then you'll be back to still having a problem. :)

New CM9 music app. You have to install it manually but it has lockscreen controls on my phone.

Excellent news on the deep sleep issue, great work! unfortunately there is no love on the wifi auto connect for me since it was doing it with 0.6.5 maybe :) I have done factory resets and all and it seems to work fine at first then it just stops. I also drop 3g and cell service and have to reset with airplane mode still. no worries though it will work itself out eventually.

Is there anyway you could just post up the sleep fix kernel in the meantime? I'd like to use this build, but my battery is getting fisted by it.
 
just wondering why the boot animation looks kinda grainy. im guessing its just because it IS low quality, but does anyone know if theres a flashable higher quality version? Mantera this rom is great, especially this version. UV is awesome, finally get good battery life, even without the wakelock fix. This is the first rom whos lockscreen doesnt sometimes lag out, its so smooth and i can finally reliably unlock my phone, and I cant wait for CM9 to incorporate custom app launcher from the screen, then this will be even more amazing! Some apps are still glitchy, like for some reason Zombieville lags up on the mainscreen, but it has never been a major app. I did notice google chrome has weird pink lines when I swipe and the screen kinda starts to flip (still havent figured out what thats supposed to do in the first place) but im hoping thats just a problem with chrome, not the OS.

EDIT: Nevermind, that swipe switches between tabs, but it doesnt work very well in the first place. On top of that weird pink lines and artifacts appear when it happens too

can we try this maybe it will make our ui more smoother?
 
one other question, can we get or does open mic work? It would be really cool for the open mic voice recognition worked, but I guess it might require special hardware or something
 
Developers, this rom is ****EN AMAZING!
ive been using it for a couple days and its been running great!
it might be just me, but i see a great change in battery life. It lasts a couple more hours which is good!
only concern is camera. But im sure you guysll figure it out soon enough.

I did upgrade from 0.6.5, so I'm going to try a full wipe and see if that makes a difference.

I had same thing happen let me no if that fixed it and all do the same thing
 
I now have nomore texting issues. Only issues are laggy keyboard, and a horrible web browsing experience, no matter the browser, although Chrome works best.
 
I have had terrible luck getting rid of my freezes and reboots. I even changed batteries to no avail. I flashed back to 0.6.5 and no problems yet. I hope it was just the ROM.
 
when connecting to wifi I notice that I sometimes don't get the blue color on the wifi signal. Anybody else getting this? And it sometimes auto connects when it wants to.

This means you are connected to wifi but it can't connect/login to your Google account. If this happens on wifi at home, you might verify your router is NOT set to give infinite DHCP leases, as that was a bug (and still is in ICS?) with Honeycomb I ran into once and had similar effect you are stating.

Thank you for recommending this. Coming from an iphone, I really miss its shake and shuffle. I must've tried like 10 different android music apps when I first got my Triumph back in July and nothing compares. Now with CM7/9's DSP Manager and this is just awesome!

Are you still on 0.6.5 or earlier? This issues with Chrome is fixed in 0.6.6 now that OpenGL is enabled.
 
Alpha 0.6.7
-fixed not entering Deep Sleep state when it should.
-updated kernel version to 2.6.32.10 (note: I had to leave the kernel version showing as 2.6.32.9 because changing the version number broke wifi)
-added musicFX.apk - this adds an equalizer into the Music app I think.
-Note that the CM stats was added upstream in this build so a notification icon will show in the status bar prompting if you want to enable it.
Known issue: after flashing, you need to manually connect your wifi the first time. After that, wifi will only autoconnect every other time that you toggle wifi on and off. You can manually reconnect at any time though. Needs to be looked into further.

I also removed the 2-15 GAPPS link from the OP. That was what was causing the Chinese number pad to show up during the one-time setup that was reported earlier in the thread.
 
I now this is noob question guys but since we are building off cyanogenmod anytime they update their ROM by adding new preferences or tweaks it's built into out rom,correct?
 
Anyone else have two "gallery" apps after the update? When I look in Root Explorer I see Galaxy4.apk, Gallery2.apk, GalleryGoogle.apk. Also I see the MusicFX.apk but can't find an equalizer in the music app.

Just a heads up

You need to be playing a song and then hit the Menu button for settings. Took me a while to find it too.

Edit: At least I think that's what it is since I don't recall ever seeing it there before. But I really wasn't looking either...
