Root [ROM][ALPHA] Triumph CM9 v0.6.17.0 [FINAL]

Is anyone having issues with the wifi on this version of the rom not connecting automactically. I have the wifi button in the drop down menu (at the top). When I press it, the wifi button lights up, but when I go into settings, wifi config, its says my ssid is either not in range (and Im like 3 feet away from my wireless router), or its saved. I have to click on it, then click the connect button. Is there a way to get wifi working by just clicking the wifi button in the drop down menu, instead of always having to go into settings/wifi config?? Thanks for your help.

Yes, if you read through the thread, which I understand can be a daunting task, you will see that this has been an ongoing problem that the devs are aware of and are working on. It has gotten more reliable with the last few releases, but it's still not 100%.

One the great things about your rom is that you have MMS working for CM9 on Virgin Mobile. This is so great the I was actually able to reverse engineer your rom and take out the cdmasmsdispatcher.smali file and use it to get MMS working on my Samsung Epic 4g w/ CM9 that I ported to Virgin Mobile. Others have been able to get MMS working on the EVO with the same fix based on your work.

Anyways after speaking with wtogami, one of the lead devs for the Epic CM9 port. He was wondering if we could get a copy of the java source file of the cdmasmsdispatcher so that we could get it posted on the cyanogenmod github so that we could automatically bake it into the epic cm9 rom and other devs for different phones could have access to it too.

You can't edit it in the rom zip. you can copy the file out of your phone, copy it onto your computer, edit it, and then copy it back onto your phone.

And I personally don't have any issues with BT... But it's probably because the only thing I use bt for is my headset.

And I haven't had a chance to do any more work on this at this time.
 
Does anyone know if, on this rom, we are able to turn on wifi and bluetooth at the same time. When I do that, it seems like they are in conflict, where one or the other will disconnect. Thanks

Sooooo here are my issues . . .

Camera not working . . Ive tried to do many requested things. . .

It says voice search works but I find it does not and get an "Audio Error" :mad:

Also, this is an ALPHA build and there are a lot of stuff that are still  NOT working. We all know what they are. Therefore I am not taking bug  reports yet at this time. Once the major functions have been  implemented, I think we can move into BETA and then at that time, a bug  reporting area will be provided.

As for audio (voice search) did you re-download gapps after installing the rom, but before rebooting ?
 
Does anyone else notice that as soon as you turn the screen on there are more signal bars, and then there are less? Its making me think its getting a stronger signal asleep.
 
this is getting ridiculous please people if you read the first post follow along with us you will know what works and what doesn't. Don't just jump in and start stating that things are not working. That is why we can't get anything done here. Please be courteous to your neighbors.
 
I've been using this rom for a while, and I know it's in alpha but I haven't seen anybody mention these problems yet. I cleared data, factory restored and flashed to alpha 0.6.9.4.

Sometimes when I go to a no signal area, and go back into an area with signal, my phone stays on R and it'll say digital roam on the lock screen. It doesn't seem to lock back onto a signal after. Airplane mode one/off works to get my phone to acquire a signal, but then 3G refuses to connect. The only way to reconnect to 3G is by rebooting the phone. This happens probably 2 out of 5 times.

Another thing regarding 3G is that sometimes it just "breaks", even if I have signal, the 3G icon vanishes and I'm not connected to 3G anymore. This happens roughly twice a day. Only way to fix this is by rebooting phone. Airplane on/off doesnt work.

Also, I've had many instances of texts not going through using Handcent SMS. The same applies with the stock messaging client too. I've sorta replicated failing to send sms's a couple times and I think that if I send an sms and immediately lock the phone, sometimes the phone doesn't send the text. When I go back into Handcent, the message indicator status just keeps spinning indefinitely. So right now, my only solution is to watch the text until it completely sends.

Other than those two problems, which don't very bother me very much as I've gotten used to them, I really enjoy using this rom as my main. Thank you devs for all the hard work!! :D
