Root [ROM][ALPHA] Triumph CM9 v0.6.17.0 [FINAL]

I really wanna donate but hesitate because PayPal locked my account down and wants me to submit photo ID to unlock it.

I'd do it, but PayPal isn't even a bank, technically. Get some Google Checkout donations and I'll click the living fecal matter out of it.

I have privacy issues, and Google has never been shady IMO.
 
I just flashed the camera zip, nothing still can't connect to camera. maybe one of the devs could somehow rewrite it to work?
 
Nope it has to have our same device processor , ex thunderbolt camera fix would work for us , it being Motorola and out phone being motorola has nothing to do with it right mantera?
 
Assuming we make another pull from the CM9 source before the next build, then yes, it will most likely affect the next build. Seems like a really good change to make, to me. If you want root, you'll now simply have to go enable an option. If you don't need it, don't enable it, and keep your phone a little more secure. It's a very simple and elegant solution to a security problem.

So far, root access is available on this ROM. So many important features rely on root, and therefore to omit root would be to lessen the value. But then, this is just my take on it.

Edit: my main reasoning is that I use so many root apps, and mess around with files and whatnot. Root is commonplace to me.

From the way you talk about it, I think you misunderstood the decision made. You'll simply have to go into the developer options and enable root. They're not removing it, they're not making it so you have to "work around" it somehow, they're just turning it off by default. I'm guessing the option will be in "Developer Options". Just go there, change the option, and it's like nothing happened.

Did you get that information from an email? Sounds like a phishing scam to me. I don't think PayPal would ever ask for a photo identification.
 
I just registered here to say that I greatly appreciate your work! It's pretty solid so far, and I cannot wait until there's camera support on this rom.
