Root [ROM][ALPHA] Triumph CM9 v0.6.17.0 [FINAL]

i noticed the improvements of the new rom...thank you devs for making this rom the best so far.. i use it as my daily rom since alpha 6.3. i know everyone is waiting and some are complaining about the camera issues but they have to wait on the fix for that.

I am noticing that it is considerably taking much longer to charge the battery with new ROM. Anyone else notice this or it's just me.

I have noticed this also. I have switched over from MIUI where it didn't take long at all to charge the battery. But on this ROM it takes quite a while.

What are the odds of bringing in contact options like there are in MIUI? I'm giving the miui 4.0 rom a shot, and i really liked being able to remove all the duplicates and condense them down into one contact. also, only showing contacts with phone numbers is nice as well.

Does anyone know if encryption in the settings menu work now for update 6.13.3. Its not listed as working nor not working

I don't remember seeing any such option available. It would probably have to come from upstream if it is going to be implemented at this particular time.

Mantera i am a legal adviser/IT. i would like to know if i could help with the camera fix for cm9?

You're welcome to download all of the source code from my github and contribute. Any help is always welcome. See the dev thread for instructions to pull the source code.

Are you trying to charge using a usb cable or a normal wall charger? If you are using a usb cable/charger, then it doesn't provide as much power as a straight wall charger and so it would take longer to charge.

It would probably have to come from upstream if it is going to be implemented at this particular time. Also, you could just go to your google account and fix all of your contacts there and let it sync to your phone. You can also go into your contact options and customize the view to only show certain groups of contacts.

Hey Mantera I'm just wondering are you going to release the new upstream stuff that has the Lockscreens and Themes with it. Or is there no need because the themes probably wouldn't work on the Triumph?

Sorry about that, its in the security part under settings option. Near the part that says lock screen. When phone is charged, it says don't stop encryption but its not doing anything

Yes, at some point soon. Although apparently, the current themes in cm7 probably don't work. There's a note in the cm9 repo commits that the cyanbread apk was seriously broken in cm9 so I assume that extends to all of the other cm7 themes also.

I think the encryption is probably not working right in cm9 upstream yet. A quick google showed other cm9 variants also having the same/similar problems with encryption.

I have upgraded my Triumph from 6.11 to 6.13. I have noticed that the back lighting on the soft keys at the bottom of the device no longer works. Additionally, since I went from CM7 to CM9, the Google Maps App shows all of my distances with the Labs Measure tool in km instead of miles.

You can either use the automatic backlight or go and adjust the light levels in System settings --> Display --> Automatic Backlight.

For Google Maps, you can change it to use imperial units instead of metric but you need to go onto the google maps website to do that. See here:
