Check Force GPU rendering and Disable HW Overlays under developer options and it should fix it

So restoring the app only leaves me with broken VVM and no notifications, but if I restore app + data it all works. I am still receiving the text messages though. From what I understand, those messages are how the VVM app learns that it has a new message to download and shouldn't actually appear in your text messaging app. A googling of the //ANDROID part brings up plenty of information on the matter. It sounds as if there is a communication breakdown between the sms app and the VVM app, leaving new message notifications to be missed by the VVM app. For what it's worth, I use Chomp as my default sms app.
Also, the setting that I mentioned before is apparently not in the VVM app. So unfortunately, I'm not sure what I had played around with or where it was.
Someone should try what is mentioned here and see if it changes anything. I have terrible 3g where I am at so I don't know if the message was actually sending.
Thought I would also reply here as well G60 so that others could join in on the conversation
As I recall I did nothing to get the notifications working...I originally restored the VVM app from a titanium backup (app+data from an ICS ROM) on the 3/31 build of your ROM. As expected, voicemail notifiations did not work and the VVM app showed none of my saved messages. When I upgraded to the 4/3 build I didn't wipe /data so the app was still installed. Last night I missed a call and noticed later that I had notification for a new voicemail, so I opened up the app and there were all my messages.
When I originally restored the app on the 3/31 build, I went through the settings and recalled finding some sort of option for verifying your voicemail with sprint or something like that. Since that has been awhile I don't recall exactly what the option was and looking through the settings now, I don't see anything that rings a bell. Sorry :/ Since I did the verification, however, I've been getting text messages each time I get a new voicemail. They look something like this
But still, last night was the first time since I installed the 4/3 build that I have missed any calls which led to a voicemail being left. I've tested it a few times as well to make sure it works and so far it still does.
I am tempted to uninstall the app and restore from the backup to find that option again, but I am also afraid of losing the only known working voicemail configuration in the forum haha
Titanium has been workaround for this on a lot of ROMS. After reading several posts on this site and XDA about the issue my personal method (which is pretty OCD but I've hardly ever had a problem) is to:
-Flash a Stock ROM
-Make sure the VVM apk is updated to current version if not already in the ROM.
-Open the app so you're phone info loads.
-Backup (app+data) using Titanium Backup
After flashing whatever ROM and after its been confirmed its up and running.
-Install a Sprint VVM apk (I keep one on my SD Card)
-Go to Titanium and restore "App Only" of your saved voice mail from above.
-After installation using Titanium restore "Data Only".
-Open file.
-Restart phone and profit.
Obviously you just need to do the first part once to get the Voicemail app into Titanium and obviously after restoring data it will only restore the voicemails saved when you backed up in Titanium when.
(Few steps probably aren't necessary or may be an easier method such as installing the apk file from my SD card before restoring the Titanium and restoring App and Data in two steps instead of the combined one has given me the fewest problems so I continue to do so).
I was able to use Titanium to restore the VVM apk on b_randon14's CM10 for the Galaxy S2 4G.
I backed up the stock VVM from version 4.0.1 and was able to restore it to CM10. VVM worked in his first version of CM10 but had an issue in his update. He was successfull at including a working VVM in the initial release of his rom. I'm not sure what he did.
Texts working perfectly for me... fwiw, they worked on the previous version and I only wiped cache+dalvik. Can't receive any text since I updated to the newest one. Having couple issues with this update, some apps won't download also.
Can you send me the Titanium Backup + Data? I would like to see what is in there that is allowing the VMM to work.
Thanks

Any special version of the Sprint VMM?/QUOTE]
Kind of an old one now (man time flies) but since restoring over it from Titanium anyway figured it didn't matter and haven't switched.
Sprint VVM 5.3.0.32
