Root [ROM] Angry Bean / CM 10.1 [build 08.08.13]

While using ButteredToast, sweep2wake also has that bug where pressing home wakes the device. Maybe both kernels have the same bug...

Did you check Wal-Mart? They have everything at Wal-Mart.

Was actually there this morning, G60 found me a sweet deal on a Victory so hit up both Wall-mart and Bestbuy looking at accessories this morning. Unfortunately no wand section. Need to start looking for Ollivander's but does not show up in Google Maps Navigation.

Of course it is on Google Maps

I will now be expecting MHL to work in the next build. LOL

Wow is nothing safe from Google. I all expected I would need to go find some invisible train platform or something. Still though, Philadelphia is a bit a ways from London. Looks like I'm going to need to take my .99 cents in donation over to Atlantic City and win myself some round trip tickets. Will probably work out as well as when I counted on my Publishers Clearing House winnings to pay rent. dam Ed McMahon, why'd you lie to me!

Just wanted to post what I've noticed with the new build and kernel. First, I don't change any kernel settings. Second, I noticed the same before and after installing the new kernel build. It is running great but I have noticed that running wireless or playing any game (tried several games with and without wireless on) that the phone seems to run hot and after about 10-15 minutes of wireless or game play the battery seems to drain at a decent rate. By all means please keep up the excellent work.

I think I have actually solved my own battery and heat issue lol. It looked like the culprit was having location access on. I turned it off and now it doesn't get hot or drain the battery. :D

Aside from I have to charge my phone every couple hours for whatever reason, everything else works great, zero issues aside from battery so far

Like coolblood2, have you checked the location reporting options in Google maps? I know the "report from device" option significantly increases battery drainage when on. It gets automatically turned on by Google Now.

I will look into that. Isn't a problem in other roms, then certain apps/widgets don't work properly, but I'll try that

Ive not actually noticed any detrimental effects to Now's functionality. Traffic notifications and what not still work fine, so I'm guessing it utilizes the network. My guess is that it doesn't do as detailed of tracking as with the option on. The additional battery life is worth it for me.

What Widgets do you foresee being effected?

I think weather should be fine. And possibly maps too...can't say for sure though as I don't use them. Plus I'm not even using my evo right now, I'm waiting for my replacemt ha.

And yes, Now can be obnoxious haha. I don't use it for much really.

Let us know if you notice that disabling reporting effects anything though :)

Weather mostly. And anything like maps. I don't even use Google now it'd quite annoying lol.

Did you steal my "Underneath your bed" for your location?

Edit:
Whenever I go to flash the kernal using Flash Image GUI it said its missing system file: system/lib/modules/bcm

Should I still Flash?

Can you not flash from recovery? I have no experience with FIGui
I just flashed 702 and kernel zip and this phone is FLYING! The screen has never been this responsive. I will have to wait to see how battery life is.
Great work Chairshot.

Having issues with the stock messenger not giving notifications and received message times are always for the year 1969 for some odd reason. Anyone else getting this?

Maybe the new kernel update is capable of time travel, have we landed on the moon yet?

There's a tropical storm coming through Savannah right now and even though I have the emergency tones disabled my phone is still going of every hour or so. I went to System Settings -> Sounds -> Emergency Tones -> Off. Is there a setting somewhere else that I've missed?

Okay, so I have an odd question. I love the rom so far, but I was curious if it would be possible to assign certain tasks to the 2d/3d switch, similar to that of the iPhone? Also, any chance HALO from paranoid might pop in?

Has anyone tried the Koush babel ask with this? Is the one that makes Google voice run through messaging app as well. Read that it was working but he broke something so has to be a post July 12 build now for latest version but didn't know if anyone tried earlier versions.

Great ROM guys!
G60Madman, been following your work since the Triumph & it's the reason why I decided to give this a try. And joining with ChairShot made this pretty stable.

However I did find a few issues:

*Flickering when using Google Maps / Navigation: It's pretty bad & it makes it Reroute often even though you're going in the right direction.
*WiMax/4G Button does not work on the Notification Drawer. 4G does work great around NY/NJ but I must go into System Settings to turn it On/Off.
*MMS only works when WiFi is off. Other ROMs I've used were able to either Turn the WiFi Off during Incoming/Outgoing MMS. Or MMS would still work with WiFi on.
*Panoramic Camera works but there's Flickering & Black patches on the screen.
*FM Radio does not work. I know it's been mention, but it's a nice feature. No biggie.

Once again Thanks guys for Angry Bean!

Chairshot215,
I'm assuming that we don't have to flash the separate kernel zip that you made a couple weeks ago because it's all included in this latest zip?
