Root [ROM] Angry Bean / CM 10.1 [build 08.08.13]

Which kernel should I flash to get Sweep2Wake?

EDIT: Ah, the Angry Bean default kernel has S2W fixed where pressing the home button doesn't turn on the phone anymore! Thank you!
 
Just for giggles thought I would try the Koush Babel app to connect google voice and sms apps. Let's just say, I am now restoring my backup :^)
 
MMS is still not working for me, anyone find a fix for this?

The MMS thing is weird. I send 2 out once a day with wifi on and wifi off just for testing and never run into any issues other then bothering my friends by sending them pictures of my desk and asking for a picture in return. The only time I had an MMS not go through was 3 or 4 builds ago when CM had broke the app and had used that older replacement app to flash in recovery. Actually that's not true, I sent one to G60's Victory and he replied his MMS had not been working on Victory stock and he was going to call VM about it but other then those 2 have had no problems. Had just sent and received one with wifi on just before I decided to write this post.

I know it has been mentioned but CM does not support HTC ICS Wimax in any way shape or form. I know I personally have spent like 30 hours trying to get it working with the icons and other then one lead requiring Google translate haven't found another HTC Wimax device with working toggle or icons so if anyone finds another HTC Wimax Device running JB with working icons and Toggle PLEASE let me know.


Otherwise have been working on that Starship Sense Rom lately I started 4 month ago and decided to abandon. Not sure why but decided to finish it about 2 weeks ago so taking a short hideous on Angry Bean Working on some USB stuff for work as we are using USB to Serial to run energy management diagnostics on the Android which should have been supported since Honeycomb but is not working with Angry Bean. Anyway wont be long and I think taking a break and coming back fresh will help regain some motivation. Also have to remember that cm10.1 is still at release candidate 0 so the code is constantly changing.

For future reference, I have a fix for MMS that works for me and Idk how many other people who are having issues. Link here. Although this should only be used if their MMS is NOT working, seeing how it's been fixed within the last couple of builds for most people.

Also when I'm installing, specifically and to clarify, what should I wipe in 4ext? I'm wiping cache+dalvik then "wipe data/factory reset" and then "format all partitions (except sdcard)". I feel like this is why I'm coming into issues is because remnants of data are being left over. Also I noticed on Mobster that prior to installation he has a script that runs to clean up residual files, is there a possibility that you could do that for dumb users like me as a safety measure for our phones. If you could include that in the next build after you're done working on Starship Sense Rom.

Edit: Also my Associated Press app isn't working, although this isn't detrimental, it's probably my favorite source for news. Could someone else download it and see if it'll connect to the internet? I've been reading reviews and no one else seems to be having problems. I've noticed that this rom breaks apps. The only thing that I can expect the culprit being is that it IS on 4.2.2 and that's the latest and greatest, hence compatibility issues. If that's the case then I'll just have to wait for an update to the app.

I downloaded it and can't get it to connect, either.
 
It's called AP mobile? Looks like a good app if it worked. If you look at the reviews, many one star reviews share this problem.
I recently started using feedly for news and I love it.

Yeah it is AP Mobile. I just downloaded Flipboard and I'm addicted to it already. And this must be a 4.2.2 problem, they also haven't updated the app since January.
 
Thought I would give me input since you ate going to take a short break? Anyway, the newest build is running excellent. I can send and receive MMS/SMS. Runs smooth and has a great battery life (as long as location access is off). Keep up the good coding please!
 
Has anyone else had wimax issues with new update? Thought maybe it had been sarin kernel so refreshed rom but still have connection problems. One other oddity: my lockscreen doesn't come up any more. If i sleep it with s2w or the power button either one, when I bring it back up it goes straight to the home screen. I have checked I don't seem to have disabled the lockscreen anywhere.

I updated 2 days ago, I also see the WiMax issue. It turns off if it loses connection. I thought it was the Service in my area 'til early today.
Also, my phone keeps rebooting sporadically with the last update. Thinking of downgrading to the previous release.
 
Is anyone having problems with Google Maps flickering like crazy? I thought it was just Navigation at first, but it's Maps too. Starts happening after just a few moments. Other GPS apps are fine. I tried deleting cache, uninstalling and reinstalling already.

I am having the same issue it so annoying at times. Looks like its an issue when a popup happens.

There's a thread about this, but I'll respond here as well... this is probably not a rom specific issue. The problem looks identical to the issue that we used to have with the Chrome app. That problem was fixed in the beta version of Chrome a few months back, but I have no idea if it was ever fixed in the stable version.

Yeah I remember the chrome issue, it looks like it's fixed on the stable version. Now the same issue is on the application Maps. I don't know its a bug on purpose, or working on fixing it.
