If you have rc1 you need to upgrade to rls. Don't get me wrong rc1 is goood, but rls blows everything out of the water Maine..,.. everything. Its smoother, faster, and by God sexier, it is the rom to beat all roms. Oh you don't believe me? Well flash it and prove me wrong then!

It is really really nice Mizz, very responsive, fast, just a lot of fun to play with, however.............for the life of me I just can't get my google navigation past the "searching for GPS". I know it's the rom since it worked flawlessly with MikG 3.11, tried the new Qualcomm driver and the Supersonic fix bothoff the XDA website w/o any luck. Other than the GPS annoyance the rom is really a man amongst men.

And it seems Mizzou had some issues with gps.....he may be able to better assist you on this gps issue. :)

Yea, it's definitely not a deal breaker, just one of those things you would like to have working just in case. I guess worst case scenario would be nan backup, reflash MikG, after usage then nan restore. I had the same issue with .44 decks and came up empty there also. Guess i'll just call it a minor annoyance and leave it at that. Thanks for your help Mikey.
 
I never had issues with that Vision driver that is included on Reloaded. If you go to Galandy's GPS thread in the OG forum on XDA, I think the best methods we ever had were:

1) The vision driver
2) Clearing GPS data in GPS Status and trying to get another lock
3) Use the Sense GPSCLRX trick.

If none of these work, I don't know what to tell you. The supersonic GPS was buggy on AOSP. It really sucked before that Vision driver was available. Before that driver, if you wanted AOSP, you just had to accept you'd have a less than reliable GPS. My GPS with the Vision driver was always better than Sense though.

Go into recovery and choose "repair sd-ext"

There is a command in Terminal Emulator to use, but I cannot remember that command.:)

Edit: or give it a shower, comb its hair and dress it properly and then you'll recognize it lol :D j/k

Thanks Mizzou, I am in the process of trying all of the above one more time. Method #1 - Fail / Method #2 - Fail / Method #3 - Success, yes success, not sure why it did not work the first time (user error probably) but just finished going back to a sense rom then back to decks and viola I once again have direction in my life.:).....Thanks to you and Mikey I am back on the road again. Thx guys...:D:D:D
 
Should have included this in my reply, but is there anything I should / should not do that would affect the GPS signal or should I be good to go in the future? Thx.

Nothing that I know of that would fudge it, just don't uninstall the drivers for it I guess. And where are those you might ask? Heh, don't know...never searched for them:)
I'm really not sure there jg :)

Yea, I got into it Thursday nite and was up till the wee hours of the morning (at least they were wee for me) anyhow it has all been worth it, thanks to you and Mizzou, have fun tonight....:D:D:D

I know, right? This is crazy! It's the only thing on my mind but I wanted to get my ducks in a row then flash.

It's like I'm preparing for a "date". I hope the anticipation is not greater than the realization! But from what I hear, it's gonna be suh-weet!

worked for me right out of the box! Gps didn't mess with me on this one, AND, the screen turns on right away when I go to start it up! Can't swear to the battery life yet, cause of course I messed with it a good bit. I have it set up using GoLauncher.

So what is the story on Profiles, anyway, can you set it up and save them and have them for different scenarios? Like, this one for traveling, this one for work, this one for home?

got to take the Misses for a walk, be back later, Happy Flashing! :rolleyes:

I haven't messed with the profiles. I remember seeing them on .44 and the .500 RC 1 that I am on (not for long tho). :)

No luck on the repair, not sure what happened but, I may be re partitioning tomorrow.
