The resolution at the lock screen is off....

Also, are the rounded corners at the top of the screen intentional?

EDIT: The resolution of even the home screen is off.

I don't quite understand what you been by the resolution is off. Can you elaborate?

The rounded corners are intentional.

Really nice ROM - very clean and super fast! (Then again, I have nothing installed and 0 contacts :-) ) Anyway - good work and look forward to future releases!

Another thing I noticed, not a big deal, just something I noticed is that in the App Drawer, if the text is too long for some one-word app titles, it displays a little funny or cuts off. I don't know if other ROMs or stock did this, I cant remember.

Examples:

Juicedefende
r

Droid X
Bootstrappe

HistoryErase
r

Minisquadro
n!

Also, a recommendation, if/when you do another release, you should think about throwing in WJD's Dark Vanilla Lockscreen Mod.

EDIT: Hmmm... Nevermind maybe. I tried to flash it over this ROM and lost the Status Bar. That's back to stock now.

Fab - I didn't have any issues with this ROM until I tried putting NexTheme over it. GMail is FCing on me now. :( I love NexTheme but GMail is kind of important. Does something in the theme need to be updated?

Yeah, I'm actually modifying that to use the real stock sliders :) I think I have it figured out now, actually :D

Yeah, that's because I took Gmail out of this ROM, since it is available in the market. You then downloaded it and it's on /data

Flashing NexTheme put a copy back on /system

Best to wait for an update that's compatible with this ROM, or, just delete Gmail.apk from the theme file first before flashing it.

Thanks. I'll give that a try.

Edit: Success! You're the man Fab!

I have had this problem with a few other themes and ROM's thanks for the great piece of info.

Hey, I learned a lot of new stuff today!

But this is going to be done tonight, the first slider is already done ;)

Thumbs up man!

This ROM is coming together rather nicely.

Now about that damn little notification bar bug... ;)

LOL

BTW, I don't know what it is about that bug in the notification bar but on the XDA thread, they have the same OG bar but black and it has that same bug, just not quite as noticeable since it's black.

This happens because the notification bar is a .9.png, and it is dynamically stretched.

So when the shade is pulled down, the date gets its own "copy" of the bar, as the date changes lengths too (depending on month and day).

I don't know how to get around this without further framework modification (my guess at how it doesn't do this in CyanogenMod). So there's two options really:

1. have rounded edges and deal with this bug
2. go back to squared off edges and it still does the same thing, but since the edges match, you can't notice it :)

Thanks for the heads up. I was always kinda wondering why this particular type of status bar did it. As far as the options go, it's your ROM so whatever you decide to do is fine here.

What does everyone think of the name Clarity for the ROM? Kinda the opposite of Blur :)

Anyways, I'm finished porting over the stock Android lock screen. It was kinda annoying, but I learned a lot, so it was worth it!

Oh, we also had to say bye-bye to the rounded corners :( Oh well.

This'll be exclusive to this ROM for a few days, but I will make a MM shortly with the image files to use on ANY other ROM/theme (it will only replace the slider images - the advantage of MM over .zip).

Anyways, gonna optipng and zip-align and hopefully have a 2nd beta version ready tonight.

Hey FAB! glad to see you back in business.
have not flashed this yet. but any 2.2 themes should work over this correct?

Yes, though they may install back additional apps (like Blur and market ones)

You should at least delete all the market apps from the theme file, or install the theme before letting your phone auto sync those apps back from the market.

I feel like Clarity is too close to Focused

Agreed.

Maybe get a few together and put up a poll or something if you want to leave it up to the people.

Or do whatever you want, since it's yours, LOL.

SMH @ me telling you what you should do...

Yeah, the name is something I'll worry about on another day. Maybe I'll attack it from another angle, rather than Blurless, it can be like the Fundamental or something :)

Anyways, give Beta 2 a try :) - available in the first post.

If you already have the first beta installed, you shouldn't need to wipe data or cache (I never did in all my testing).
