Root [ROM] ApeX 1.2 Series for Droid X - Functionality and Performance (12/7/10)

Fabolous- You rock! Yet another awesome ROM that tops your last one. I don't know how you do it but it is much appreciated.

Anyone else noticing a huge increase in battery life? I tried the latest version for both Rubix and Tranq and the battery wouldn't last a whole day.

On the new Apex, I have 70+ percent left at the end of the day -with heavy use.

I installed the 2.3.15 version of Apex 1.2 yesterday but I really wanted the newest leak along with Apex 1.2 so I installed the 2.3.320 leak and then Apex 1.2. After that I did the circle battery mod, clock removal mod, and changed the status bar pull-down background. Since I did the battery and clock mods I lost Fab's new fancy animations, which I really like, so I went back in and replaced the 74 animation files. So far so good.

I would agree the battery life seems to be better than ever on this build. Again huge props to Fab for getting this back to people on the OTA 2.2 and not on the new leak yet. The ROM is just so slick.

Everything seems to be running better than ever except I have been having some FC's with the market if I am updating or installing more than one app at a time. I am not sure if it is an app itself causing the problem or if there is a problem with the market. However I can live with this since everything else is so much better.

Helllp! I think I broke it!!! I really liked ApeX 1.0.2.2 on 2.3.15 so I decided to install The Android 2.2.1 leak and install the corresponding version of ApeX. The leak installed fine. Then I flashed clockwork recovery and wiped data and cache and tried to install Apex 1.2.1 and it got to the "installing update" part and just stayed there for about 5 minutes without the loading bar moving at all. So I tried again and the same thing happened. So I tried a third time with mounting system and the same thing happened. Then I tried a fourth time but formatted system and the same thing happened but now I can no longer get into clockwork recovery. I can only access the stock recovery and the bootloader screen. If I try to load up phone normally it stays at M logo. Anyone know anything I can do to fix this at this point? Will the system SBF work and if so does anybody have it?

Might be your 1.38GHz overclock ;)

Oof! I think your download might have been corrupted! It does take a little bit to return to the previous menu after it installs, but along the lines of like 10-20s, not 5 mins.

But yeah, the 2.3.320 sbf will get you out of this mess. Make sure you use RSD lite 4.8

no, don't flash that! That's for people who lost their Motorola recovery partition.

I don't have a copy of the system-only sbf readily available, but someone here has to. That's the one you want, the system-only SBF, NOT recovery-only!

Oh Ok. Thank you. Good thing I refreshed before I went and flashed it. Does anybody on here have the System-only SBF?

ah, im glad you caught that. I that that worked if you had done the update zip and had not tried flashing back to 2.3.15... shows what I know! lol really glad you caught that.

Alright just tried it again and the Market seems fine. I looks like I had a live wallpaper app installed (not sure why) that was trying to update that was causing my issue. I cancelled the download and everything in the market is working just fine.

Fab, don't hate on me just because my X can handle your 1.38 OC. :D It is amazing how differently each and every phone will take some of these changes. Glad my phone takes to your ROMs well because you do great work.

I thought for a second I missed big announcement :)By the way, since have your attention.. thanks again for a great ROM.
