Root [ROM][BETA][4.1.2] AOKP Jelly Bean for Virgin Mobile and Sprint 12/30/2013

Appreciate the update, the ROM is running very smoothly and the extra ram is nice. Couple things though:
Is the undervolting supported through AOKP's voltage settings in ROM control or do I need to download instavolt?
Also for some reason I can only get the video recorder to work every once in a blue moon, taking pictures works just fine however.

I was also wondering if its strictly an aokp thing or a 4.2 thing that MMS messages are shown in a completely different thread in the messaging app, idk about everyone else but I like the pictures showing up in the same thread so I don't have to back out just to see picture messages. If there's a way to change this that'd he great.

I can confirm that video is not working. The camera also does not take photos if set on 5 mega pixel. If set below 5 mega pixel, it will take photos. Very odd.

Just noticed the time is exactly one hour off. No amount of changing time, etc in the settings helps. It eventually go right back to the incorrect time. This problem just occurred. Time has never been an issue for me - no matter what ROM I'm running. Very strange.

Is this a known bug?

Daylight savings time might be off
 
Still not able to take photos at 5MP or record video without getting the error, 'Unfortunately, Gallery has stopped.'

The current update for CM10 has the same issue with video, however, taking 5MP photos works fine.

This all worked with previous 'version' of AOKP.

Is this a known 'bug' with this newest update?

I just want to thank you for the time and work you put into these ROMs for the hand full of us that can't afford to move on to the latest and greatest phones. seems that all the other Dev have already quit this phone. Thank you.
 
I applied this root, failed, then ended up bricking the cell, then did the http://androidforums.com/elite-all-...phone-using-official-tools-dll-bin-files.html method to unbrick it, then did the all the proper steps, re flashed this ROM, everything worked.

Come today, Titanium Backup, tells me I do not have root access.
Downloaded a checker, it tells me no root access.

I was just attempting to make a backup of my current situation of the phone, which sucks that I can not now.

I really do not wish to start completely over again because the cell itself seems to be working great.
I am just using it as a wifi enabled landline at home, play games,watch vids and music off the external SD, use the ipwebcam, etc.
I dont plan on ever using it for a paid data service deal.

How can I reroot it, or take the required steps to gain root back?

It failed to boot up after the initial flash, I then did a factory reset, it booted up fine.
I was sure it still had root after that.

What can I do now to regain root without having to start completely over again?

recap, it's running the mod beautifully, I just do not appear to have root access now. :(

Thanks for the ROM, I love it, zero complaints, every APP I install works great.
Have not had one random freeze or force close, it's been 4 days of not stop usage, just lost root :(

edit again, I just realized I applied the camera fix update from this thread ( http://androidforums.com/elite-all-...2-cm10-virgin-mobile-sprint-12-31-2013-a.html ) which enabled the video mode to work on my camera.
Just remembered I DL "clean master"app which seemed to have deleted all the files I put on the external SD to do the whole process of rooting and putting CWM onto the phones stock OS.
Not sure if that was my problem.
Man the cell is working so good, do not wish to start all over again but if I do and the camera fails to work right again, will putting that camera fix from the other Mod be ok?, it did fix the camera and not sure its why I lost root though.
BTW the camera does not show up in the app settings as an app?
 
Ah, one issue I've seen since the initial flash of this ROM: the power menu that comes up with turn off, reboot options, etc., it flashes, and if you release the power button before it appears the second time, the screen just turns off. Really minor issue, but it's just another bug that would make the usage a little more natural if it was removed. ROM is otherwise running well, extra RAM is greatly appreciated. Fantastic job~
 
@phenomx4 Thanks for the latest update it's running very smoothly on my phone! I've been having data connection issues with this release. Wifi and 3G Mobile data fail after a short period of time. None of my apps will connect and I can't get 3G or Data back until I reboot. Everything is fine and then I permanently lose Data connection again. Data bars stay Grey with the 3G symbol appearing intermittently but I get no connection and no apps will connect. I've tried toggling Airport mode and turning data off and on but nothing works to get a connection back except a reboot. I missed a few important emails while away from home which is why I'm posting here. Any tips are much appreciated.
