Root [ROM][BETA][4.1.2] AOKP Jelly Bean for Virgin Mobile and Sprint 12/30/2013

Pheniox please help. I wanted to set up some security on my phone so I decided to set up a Pin. Problem is the 0 number and the key i press that unlocks the phone is cut off at the bottom so theres no way to unlock my phone:(

What i was really looking for with the security is first the slide lockscreen comes up and i choose the app i want. Then i put in the pattern and it unlocks and opens up the application. I believe i had AOKP 4.0.4 set up like that.

Is there a way I can unlock it from my gmail account?
 
Google Now displays "Get Location-based Cards" but Wifi and mobile networks are turned on in the settings. Anyone else having that issue?

I think you have to get the password wrong A couple of times for the option to unlock using a Google account or you could just do a factory reset in recovery but you would lose your data also.
 
Noticed that incoming calls do not display the contact name or avatar. Is there a fix for this?

Also noticing the phone doesn't always ring in a timely manner. Calling myself from my other phones it can take 4-5 rings before it registers on the elite. Anyone else?

Copy that. I've had same issues with incoming calls not ringing immediately.

mine would do that with the calls even before I started putting ROMs on my phone.

so I had this idea that I would use the nav bar with a single button( home ) and use the nav ring as a launcher of sorts, but nav ring is not functioning.
 
I'm having an issue getting service with this ROM. I just recently flashed this ROM and after the first boot, I was able to get service and the phone even said "Virgin Mobile" at the lock screen. But now, my messaging and calling doesn't work and on the lock screen it says "SPG" instead of "Virgin Mobile". Any solutions? I restored apps=data using Titanium Backup, if that might help.

EDIT: The calling seems to be able to work, but the messaging app continues to shut down and say "Messaging has stopped working". Any ideas? The phone still says "SPG" instead of "Virgin Mobile".
 
ok so this might be a bit of a stupid question... so when i go to open a ​
video
, say on the site animeonhand etc. when i was on slephneir or stock i would have to click the play button and then the video would pop up in the movies app or some such, but in aokp when i load the page the video starts playing impeded in the page and i have to click the expand button, i have also noticed that it stutters alot more when watching, so i was just wondering if there was someway to make it so the video doesn't play impeded in the page, but launches in a movie app?​
 
I'm on Sprint and still do not have pictures working on the messaging. Anyone willing to put together a step by step to fix? (is there a fix?)

I believe only the stock browser can do this. Try using a different browser.
 
testboottripple is a good one the other testboot well is mess up my camera sd but then i did this one vary good speed love no lag at all settings still don't stick but like that guy said use that one app and i am now using it
 
also sorry but i cant say any thing to whats going on in the massageing i been using my phone as media center and mp3 and wifi its a sprint phone but love it for er and daily fun
 
No, I didn't solve the problem. I ended up restoring from a Nandroid backup. I might try CM10 later on and see if that works.
 
k so another thing... when i try to open the camera it says cant connect to camera, i tried restarting the phone... but no go :/
 
okay so I have a weird ass problem...... ever since flashing the ROM my media player keeps freezing up and I have to reboot to get it working again.... annoying when it won't even go thru one song.... plz.... HELP!!!!! Lol thank you

I'm having the same problem but on the cm10 ROM...lol
 
Is there a way to add data as an available statusbar toggle? In the preview for toggle layout data is shown so I assume it's an AOKP feature, but I'm not seeing it in this ROM on my Elite.
 
Having quite a bit of problems with 3G and/or data staying up. Have to disable and then enable data to bring it back up. This can happen when the phone screen has been off for a while and it has also occurred when the phone screen has been off for a short amount of time as well.

Is there a fix for this?

Under AOKP Jellybean, I'm unable to install apps from Google Play from the Google Play website on a computer (signed in to my Google account). All I get is a message from Google Play that says something like, 'Congratulations, you have now installed the app. You should see it on your device soon . . . . ' I never see it get installed.

CM10 works fine but I am not able to find anything that works to 'reset' Google Play for AOKP.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Try clearing the cache from the play store app and the Google services framework.
