[ROM][BETA] CyanogenMod 10 for the LG Lucid

This is probably to be expected since the RIL and APNs on this ROM are verizon based. You'll be more likely to get working data when the folks in the LG Connect 4G forums get working data, and they're having a hard time.

Doesnt really make sense though, as those RIL/APN shouldnt override the ones flashed. And since I can flash back to stock and get my data back without reflashing data, it means the data settings are sticking through flashes of ROMs. Therefor, the data should work on CM10

Edit: I forgot to mention that I have yet to flash the baseband. I have been afraid that the baseband would screw up data or radios if I attempted to flash back to GB/ICS stock. Would that baseband make the difference between getting data or not?

The baseband is from ICS V8. So definitely no difference there.

And since all it does is increase the power supplied to said radios, I can't see how it would mess it up.

I see no reason not too.

That being said, that should improve connections, but not create one that isn't already there so I don't actually know if it would really help.

Sleep of death only occurs when the phone is idling with the screen off, possibly on the charger. Chances are good that if there was anything running that it was EGL. Did it reboot immediately or just lock up? And was the screen on or off?

The Sleep of Death happens while on the charger with the screen ON. It takes about 30 minutes to happen.

Ok, I guess that can be the case if you have it set to keep the screen on while charging. Has anyone had an sod with the patched kernel?

So, does anyone have ideas as to why GB/ICS stock supports data, but not CM? And if so, what changes I can make to fix it? I can recompile the CM10 ROM if it comes to that. I have tried everything, and am getting sick of flashing back and forth at this point lol. I really want CM, if not just for the lack of bloatware slowing down the machine.

It's almost surely the kgsl/adreno stuff.

There is no easy way to debug kernel memory leaks.

I replaced the KGSL libs and source with CM10 msm8660 code from the Galaxy Note, and the issue persisted. No reboots during games were reported for that phone. Doesn't that point to something else as the culprit?

Did you try going into mobile network settings and change subscription from RUIM/SIM to NV?

Thats the first thing I did. Due to a lack of SIM, the NV Only was selected by default, and the other option was disabled.

The issue may be /etc/apns-conf.xml. Could you copy that file onto the sd card on the stock ROM after running pageplus and paste it with root in CM10?

I just tried this. Still not working on data.

I still think that whatever the LG Connect 4G folks do to fix their data will fix yours. They are having almost the exact same problem as you (even though they are SIM based and not NV) and they are using a ROM forked from this one at around A2. Once they get a fix in, I would suggest trying whatever they use to fix it.

In the meantime, I will be sticking to stock. I really hope that it gets fixed soon. Also, for sh*ts and giggles I went and looked at what was in the 2 apn files after a reboot to see if the apn file was sticking. I noticed some info for a local carrier that my phone has never connected to called "MetroPCS" its really weird to see this information in my phone.

OK with the GPS I think I've noticed the problem but not sure the GPS option to toggle GPS satellite isn't actually working and the reason I say this is bc I get the same location w/ or w/o it on

Download the app linked below. Once it opens, tap "reset" and then "download xtra data". Wait a few seconds with a clear view of the sky and the satellite count should go up until it gives GPS status on the screen. You should only need to do this once.

Tried for 15 min with 4bars of 4G but I was inside I'll try it out side after work

The 4G wont matter, the program is only interested in the GPS satellites. You really should be outside when downloading the xtra data, its far more accurate that way. If you go outside and it still doesnt work, then the GPS on your phone is either malfunctioning or the GPS driver is not packaged with this ROM.

So I noticed something with two music players I've tested. I put my headphones in, and I'm listening to music (On Apollo/PlayerPro) and I set the ring tone ALL the way up, but when I get a text, my notification sound doesn't go off, I don't get alerted at all. Any fix?

Yeah didn't work for me.

All it says on the phone is: "Download is in Progress. Do not disconnect cable." So I assume not.

I went over to my moms because she has windows 7n. It still did not work but i got farther in the KDZ update. Here is the log:
