[ROM][BETA] CyanogenMod 10 for the LG Lucid

It seems like the new kernel makes the SoD happen more and when not on the charger. Not sure though, only happened once, further testing needed.

Ok, so I downgraded to ZV5 and it didn't work. Then I hard factory reset on zv5 and did not update the "market" (to get root checker), before I tried to root. Root worked this time!

WOW! stcarlso The sleep of death issue seems to be gone, I left my phone on the charger for an hour with the screen on and it was on the entire time! This ROM is basically perfect besides the GPS issue!

Ok, is there anything important left to do now that I have cyanogen10, gapps, and I flashed the baseband to v8? It's been awhile for me to be on root or jailbreak...What about some kernels or good apps?

Also, huge thanks to you guys. Especially stcarlso :)

Ok after flashing this I'm stuck on the CM10 boot screen. About how long does it take to boot after a first install? Do I just do a battery pull and then do a wipe in CWM? Just wondering as it's been cycling for about 20 minutes now.....

Cwm wipe cache and dalvik cache :)

Two problems I still have-

-one in about every 3 boots, it just stays on the CM10 logo and never boots, requiring a battery pull.

-phone freezes in my pocket (SoD?) and requires a battery pull. Freezes with the screen off, no games running.

I have these issues as well.

First issue is a ril problem that I hope to fix soon.

Second issue (yes, SoD) might be fixed with the kernel patch a few posts back. If still a problem with that patch, let me know.

I'm 99% sure I have that kernel.

I definitly had it, think its on there right now, but it is possible its been reflashed.

How would I tell which kernel it is?

If its on there, which I believe it is, it didn't solve it for me.

Verizon released a prepaid version of this phone. The only differences between the 2 that I can see are that the prepaid version does not have 4G connectivity and they changed the name of it to the LG Optimus Exceed. Just wondering if anyone knows if this ROM will work for it or not. Thanks in advance.

Well two issues,
1. For the past 3 days my battery has been getting extremely hot, mostly when I turn my 3G on.
2. Since I had that battery issue, I reflashed my device, it all went well, booted for the first time and it had 4G, then as soon as I turned data off and then back on it stays at 3G. So the bigger issue is my battery, why is it getting so hot? Is this dangerous? Can it damage my phone?

Edit: 4G working fine now, just needed to tweak some settings.

A hot battery can very well damage your phone, or you. These phones use Lithium Ion batteries... As long as it's not overcharging, however, should cause flames. Also check your over/underclock settings. I've noticed my phone get hot as well, to the point where I don't want to pick it up. I remove the battery, let it cool down and put it back in. probably some run-amok app.

Data might be broken, but it should at least boot. No guarantees though, any custom ROM can cause a brick if not flashed with care.

any idea on GPS? can't get it with GPS test or gps status. tried in two different spots so its not the satellites either.
