[ROM][BETA] CyanogenMod 10 for the LG Lucid

My last idea is to reflash cwm but not through rom manager. But by the computer. Less likely to be corrupted here's what I used How to Install ClockworkMod Recovery on the LG Lucid 4G - TheUnlockr

Thanks ill try this when I get home.

Also the last time I tried to flash I received this error while doing the clear data/factory reset. I'm not sure if it has to do with my problem but I figured I would post it anyway

E:format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/mmcblk1p2

Has no one ever ran into the same problem as me? I find that hard to believe. I did everything just as I am supposed to and I never get past the LG boot screen. It just freezes there and I wait a while then I'm forced to pull my battery and do a recovery. I'm getting frustrated at this point because I downgraded to gb from ics in order to flash this rom and its been unsuccessful so far.

I never had this problem. I can't think of what the problem is. You have a password or pattern on the lock screen maybe. Usb debugging is enabled?

Are you by chance on a lucid 2 or the prepaid lucid?

You wiped data and flashed all 3 files right?

No I'm not on the lucid 2 or a prepaid lucid. My lucid is from Verizon. Yes I wipe all the data and flash cm10 gapps then baseband in that order. I can't figure out why I can't get it running. I've let it sit at the LG screen for 15-20 minutes a few times. Can anyone recall on their fist boot how long between the LG screen and cm10 boot animations?

The lg screen maybe 10seconds the cm10 boot animation a few minutes

So I have noticed that when I normally boot in gb or ics that my lg screen kind of does a flicker then lights up along the left side before the boot animation starts up. When i try to boot on cm10 it never does that and never goes past the lg boot screen. Is there some kind of logs that i can pull or something like that which will help someone help me?

Edit: Would it be possible for me to download someone's backup that is currently running cm10 and restore through cwm? Just a thought...

No it's not possible, even if you try I think the MD5 Sum check would fail. Anyways sorry I haven't been active to help, but now I'm going to. First thing I'd advise is to reflash GB through KDZ. Then root it, install CWM. Then follow this guide to install CWM Touch just for the hell of it. [ http://androidforums.com/lucid-all-things-root/719365-guide-cwm-touch-flashable-zip.html ]

Next flash CM10 B2.
Then Gapps.
And finally the baseband
[IN THAT ORDER]
Goto the main screen of CWMT.
Wipe data/factory reset.
Wipe the Cache.
Goto Advanced > Wipe Dalvik cache.
Reboot the device through the main screen of CWMT.
Now the first boot could take a while, after that it should goto a setup screen and work perfectly!

That will get CM10 working fine...well should..as for the flicker I think just reflashing GB should fix that.

It seems as though your telling me to flash cm10 then wipe data? just trying to make sure because that seems counter productive. but thanks for the advice. I'm gonna try that when I get home tonight

Wiping the data just preforms a factory reset so CM10 can work, same with wiping the caches.

CM10 fills /system

personal data such as apps and logins and such are /data

For anyone who uses chrome on your phone, do you have your phone freeze with screen off? I think I have determined that if I use chrome and turn the screen off with chrome running, it occaisionally will freeze the phone so I can't turn the screen back on.

Anyone else have this problem?

So I did everything thing you said (both wiping before and after I flashed cm10 because I wasn't sure) and still no luck. I'm now unsure of where to go from here

ok I seem to have lost data. My bars go from full 4g blue to a greyed out full bars 4g. Should I wipe data, or re-install the baseband? Any ideas? It never did this before and only started after I downgraded again to do the GPS fix and after that I get grey bars way to often..... (before I never did)

Pull some logs at this point...it shouldn't be like that. I'd say hardware damage...but if it works on stock it cannot be that. Try redownloading the CM10 B2, Gapps, and Baseband V8...I'm running out of ideas!

If you got good data before, I'd say reflash the baseband V8. Try wiping the cache and dalvik cache to hopefully have it work. I have problems turning on my data sometimes, really annoying.

But do I wipe after flashing cm10 or before?

Edit: On xda I found posts that say you can restore using someone else's backup

It must be done after.

Edit: The backup gets stuff from inside the phone such as the /system folder. I wouldn't recommend it since every Android device has it's in MEID/IMEI...as well as other stuff. So I think you would be writing over that..making your phone possible unusable with carriers...all a guess. The same deal kind of goes with iOS devices. To downgrade you need something called SHSH Blobs, each blob is specific to the device and version that the blobs were saved on. Even with iPods...which don't have the stuff like phones do.
