Root [ROM][Beta][FINAL] CM7 Android For Triumph [Tickerguy Edition, Kernel: mine] 11/19

Hey i got a couple of questions about the CM7 WIP ROM. I know its a work in progress rom but, How come up Toggle LED Flashlight is not available and will hotspot be put in here. I'm not rushing anybody I'm just wondering.

I would like to know the answer to the flashlight question as well. Neither is lockscreen gesture flashlight toggle available.

thank you tickerguy for your concise permissions changes in your update script it saved my wifi in my themed 2.2 ROM

What is the flashlight thing you're talking about? The various flashlight applications from the market work fine.

As for the hotspot there's no promises on that one; the underlying Wifi driver, which we do not have source for, had the symbols stripped that the AP driver in Android needs. That's a royal bitch and it was clearly intentional. I'll spend time on it later; right now there are other things that are more important.

DUDE! just loaded the latest build up for the first time. Tickerguy you are the man, If we were in jail, I would protect you in the shower.

the only thing that is really bothersome is the WIFI lockup, because of liberal use of GrooveIP and lack of reception at work, so I use wifi there. Other wise that and GPS and this ROM is nearly perfect.

The wifi lockup is also the only thing holding me back from keeping the rom as my daily.

Just thought I would throw up another bug for ya ticker
Right now the notification LED doesn't turn on when my phone charges. BUT, if I get a text, it glows to show that, and stays blinking until I unplug my phone. Actually, when it gets to about 90%, it stays green. Don't know if it helps, just thought I should mention.

Munky I'm aware of that one - found and squashed it this evening.

The correct coding that SHOULD be present is:

Solid green - charged (and plugged)
Solid red - charging (and plugged)
Dark - unplugged

Notifications are blinking orange. If you're plugged, it will be alternating with either red or green.

I was referring to the grayed out Toggle LED flashlight option under CyanogenMod settings -> Interface -> Notification power widget -> Widget buttons. Yes, a third party flashlight app works just as well, but it's just less elegant.

i have my wifi on all the time and im having no problems right know and its been on for 5 days now.:D i dont know why it doesnt lockup on mine:confused:

So you're able to lock the screen with the power button while wifi is on then let it sit for about 5min and you can get it to start back up?

Did you change any settings to get it to work?

It wasn't running it fully. Most things were broken, but it was booting. Regardless it isn't really on topic of ticker's CM7. I would think you should start a new post to talk about that sort of thing instead of clogging this post with off topic stuff.

I have never had this problem either. On any build. But I do have Juice Defender running, and have always had it running. That probably is the difference.

yeah i mean it just wont get stuck on me anymore and since last nite i updated my phone and removed the lock screen too because i didnt want to pocket call any of my friends while i was at work and it works fine. my buttons on the bottom on the stock always were touchy. when i touched them my phone woke up. and with it being in my pocket i was always making phone wake up. then slide the bar and asarted to touch apps on my phone. one day i was working my phone started to play music and my boss heard it playing he said make sure you turn it off. with this build it doesnt get touchy in my pocket like before.

nevermind my phone got locked up during work sh*t.
guess im back to lockscreen again.

Indel: I didn't know that was there; remind me once we have all the basics working and I'll see if I can figure out why it's disabled (and whether I can turn it on.)

Rock, yes. I am having no problems with proximity; it is working as expected for me. YMMV but I have had no trouble with the sensors since I fixed the geomagnetic about a week ago.

So I have found for my phone, if it locks up, i can plug it into usb for a second to wake it up. anyone else?

and i have also found if I enable wifi with quick settings, the screen flashes black and back and makes teh lock sound, but come right back to teh screen, quarter second off and on.

actually, i only had it lock once, last night, with the 9/11 build. hasnt yet with the 9/12 build. Thanks Ticker!
