The same thing happens to me often when I try using ROM toolbox or ROM manager to get into CWM recovery. In my case I usually have to take the battery out to get it to boot because it hangs on the reboot, other times it just reboots normally w/o going into recovery. Usually my 2nd attempt will get it to boot into recovery. Otherwise, I get into CWM manually by shutting off the phone then holding down the power button &volume down rocker until it asks about doing a factory reset. Confirm a few times &there you go. You need to make sure that you have CWM before doing that though. I think that ROM manager can tell you which if any CWM you have. I should probably mention that you shouldn't need to wipe anything to flash the ROM. If I remember correctly it can cause problems. I just flashed it right from CWM.
 
yeah he flashed cwm through rom manager already... i would suggest the manula way, just grab an aio from connect threads and push recovery.img onto device :D should take care of it NP
 
Thank you all for the responses i dont know what happened i can only figure my battery may have been to low i charged it all night then i went into rom manager and downloaded black plague again and told it to back up my current rom then hit ok and this time it booted into rom installation i now have black plague on the phone and it so far is running without any problems no bootloops or crashes thanks
 
Having 1 problem some videos in my browser wont play now where the video was is now just a blank white space any fix for that is that caused by the rom.

Adobe flash IS compatible with the connect. Install from playstore. Supposedly it isn't compatible with ics and up but im running it on my gs3 which has ics and it works fine.

well thanks i dont know why but eveytime i went to playstore in the past i got a incompatible message for adobe but i installed it and its still not working even my stock browser wont play the videos ??

You had me curious so i went and uninstalled and reinstalled in the playstore. I didn't get any incompatable message. Without knowing the exact video you're talking about it's hard to know what could be the issue but i know that without it installed on some sites i would see a little green box where the video is meant.

Also not sure if this is to do with flash or more with browsers but lately I've found that some site when i play a video it would allow me to open with a video app while other browsers only allow you to download it rather than streaming.

I just want to echo this. I'm having the exact same problem; any attempt to install an APK (from the Play store or from storage) causes the phone to instantly reboot. I've tried clearing the Play Store cache/data but it hasn't helped.

Except for the fact that I can't install any software, it seems to work GREAT, so... yeah. :confused:

I don't know if u have tried this but have u tried to do a full wipe in clockwork recovery and fresh install? If not give that a shot and c if that helps.
 
I'm guessing that all the current LG Custom ROMS can have the LG Stock "Unlock Screen" put back on but I wanted to be sure?
 
I have had this ROM for a while now and have had no problems with it. I love that its super quick and easy to use. I was just wondering if there is a way to run the wireless tethering. Before I had this ROM I ran WiFi Tether app and it worked fine. Now when I try to run it another blue icon pops up on the notification bar and tells me I have wifi and "press to configure" when I drag down. But nothing happens after I press it and I can't connect with my laptop anymore, even though it does detect my device. Any idea what I can do?

Edit: doing more digging I found on 'System Settings'>'Wireless & networks settings(more)'>'Tethering & portable hotspot' it force closes. Any ideas anyone
 
Go to the app and select the menu button should take you the menu. Change the user agent to optimus s, I believe.

Yea I have it set up for Optimus S already. It worked fine before i flashed BP. But now it starts up fine and my computer detects it but it won't let me connect to it. Does your phone also have a blue icon on the notification bar at the top? Does it let you configure from there?
 
Got it fixed. I uninstalled and re-installed and it worked. Thanks @Mexjoker for your help.

On another topic..has anyone with this ROM used the theming kitchen? Have you encountered any problems after using? I'm considering giving it a try just to adjust a few things like removing the music on the notification drag down bar and stripping the 'Metro PCS' from the lock screen. Is there any other way to do that?
 
Well last night I fried "Version Two" ROM I was playing with the boot animations in ROM Toolbox and I changed the boot animation and when I restarted the boot animation just kept looping over and over and over so I went to Clockwork and put on Black Plaque to try it out and I must say that I like it 10x better than version 2! So far so good!I have not had any ghost reboots YET.... But on the app "Pimp My Rom" what settings do I change to smooth out the scrolling, etc.... It doesn't come with any instructions nor does it tell me what each thing does. I also keep getting an error from Pimp my Rom about every few hours, it says this "Sorry! The application PIMP My RoM (process com.androguide.pimp.my.rom) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Then I have the option to Force Close or Report and I have reported it about 5 times now.... Grrrr
 
Hello PG,

thank you for cooking this ROM, But i have an issue when trying to install Apps sometimes from the store, and anytime i try to install an apk file. It has this weird animation come up and then it seems all my connections die to my phone. After it has its "stroke" i notice that the status bar at the top of the page that usually shows volume and connection strengths is missing till reboot. I ran the update on Holo that Play said it has available.. maybe thats where this issue started?

Update: I have tried clearing the cache and data files to the download manager and play store.. no luck... still the same animation and then dead connections till i reboot or go into airplane mode and back out. Noticed RickRussellTX is having a very simular problem.. im going to try to fix permissions and if that does not do it do a fresh wipe and reinstall.

Update 2: No beans, did a wipe of all the cache and reinstalled.. still doing the same thing.. any tips PG?

Update 3: I installed No. 2 and it works great with no installer issues.. works great.
