Root [ROM]Cold as Ice for Optimus V [UPDATED] [A11]

So I followed all of the steps and love the look of ICS Cold as Ice. But I am having real problems with calling and texting.

I first realized last night when I was texting people, that no one was responding. next I found out the next day that people had been calling me and it never came up on my phone. I reverted back to Green Machine and 2.3.7. Still no no luck. I have used this for months with no problems. I got one message that had been sent a day ago... thats it. Lastly I redid everything for Cold as Ice and No problem. Please help. Every rom I try I cant get texts or calls. I do have great service. ASAP would be great. Thanks.

Virgin Mobile's been known for doing that. Just contact them and ask if they know what the problem is (if there's an automated voice saying that they know the service is acting wonky, then it's their fault)

They weren't able to help. The system menu number they gave me does not work to unlock my phone... SH*T

the ##847446# does not work
 
That only works on froyo.

If you txt and call alot, DONT use ICS. Its known for bad 3g. Flash Gingerbread, txt urself, then see what happens.

The problem is that code doesn't work with anything not froyo. You should make a nandroid backup then flash a froyo rom such as harmonia 1, then do the code, then restore your backup after its working
 
I can say that it is working on my phone without issues. Mine has the V9 baseband. The only thing is I could not install Adobe flash player maybe someone already found a fix for it? when I try to serach on Google play it does not show it.

You can never get flash player for your phone from Google market, you have to find the special one made for arm6 processors here on AF or XDA forums

Cammy, i JUST noticed something.. you do help a lot of people out, weather it may be phone related or not, but you help people out through laughter, not at you, but your amazing typo's, and im sure Brotherswing, along with several other members would agree, laughter is the best help in these forums, so keep up the good work, and don't figure out how to auto-correct, KEEP UP THE TYPOS!! (and no, this was not an attempt to troll, or put cammy down in any way, i was just simply thanking cammy for providing everyone with his humorous typos that give everyone a good chuckle when we need it most) :D

Oh, Cammy's posts are usually one of the bright points of my day! That's why I made him a mod at the House of Treats. :thumbup::D
 
Ok when I grabbed the final and installed the branding and mms it went into a loop it was never able to go to the initial screen, what I did is reflash the final again. Just if someone has the same issue.
 
i will remove the VM fix its not working properly if you want it reailly bad its just framework-res.apk and apns.conf you can stick those in the romk before flashing i personiailly just changed the carrier label and im good
 
Is there any app that works for wifi tethering? I tried foxfi which works on other roms, but this one does not, I used whenever I need to check something quick in my tablet. Not a major deal but just if someone can't live without wifi tethering it does not work on this ROM.

He helps me I read about him trying new stuff I want to try then do the opposite of what he did. :p just kidding cammy you have come a long way.
