Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/01/13)

been having this weird little problem when i run setcpu with the apk from xda. had no problems with 3.6 and just wanted to see if it was just me.

i placed it in to system/apps and it popped up but then when i try to run it it crashes and every time after that it crashes.

I solved this by going in to system/app again and clicking the apk and installing.everything seems to run normal.

Then I restart my phone and it starts crashing again (tried run at boot and just trying to get into setcpu with that option off) and I have to re-install it again. the app data is still there like profiles but i'm sure it crashing isn't normal
 
Hey blood...

I'm still having issues with Bluetooth. I am unable to get it to pick up on my car audio system. I have no problem with stock, blood's rooted stock and Markybeats when it comes to this, but it's been an issue in CTMod.

I am on the Sprint variant. Thanks for all your awesome work!
 
Woohoo... Blood, so far everything has been awesome with 3.6.5. Great work bro!
I had a question for you though, I wanted to theme mms.apk and also change the unread txt bg color as I don't have any difference in it and also the background and/or text color in the preset message window (both are white) which I know how to do... here is the problem, when I go to decompile the mms.apk I get an error? I've never had this problem before any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I dunno what to say man. I've done pretty much everything I can for bluetooth and it should work the same as it does for stock.

maybe make a backup in cwm and do a factory wipe and see if it works, if not then idk.

You have to access the LG Hidden Menu>Settings>Data Settings>DUN NAI>and select No. Back out all the way and it should work. You will have to do this everytime you reboot since it does not stick. In order to get to the LG Hidden Menu, you can create an activity widget and select LG Hidden Menu. Depending on your launcher you can either long press the homescreen and select activity, or go to the market and download an app like any cut and use that. Hope this is helpful.

Thank you for the quick reply blood. I followed the instructions i can see my phone as a choice for connectivity on my computer but it says no internet connection. what does the PPP carrier have to be set to? right now is set to sprint

That issue seems to have righted itself without any intervention on my part. All good to go on that front, but...

I've noticed that I am having another issue. I backed up my apps from TiBackup after installing the ROM and none of them show up in my apps in the Google Play Store app. Only items that I've dl'd from the store while on this ROM install show up. The real issue is that I don't get any app update prompts.

Do you have any ideas/thoughts re: this? What can/should I do?
 
Well i done did it now trying to get the hotspot to work 3g wont work now and Iv tryed to restore, reinstall the rom, wipe cache nothing so far
 
Ok 3G is fixed, after tons of research I entered ##786# on the dialer then it asked me for my msid accepted the warning and after a couple of processes and a quick reboot 3G!

i installed 3.6.5 without the theme and im using my gmail & hotmail to test if i receive mms. i can send mms but when i try to send from gmail & hotmail to my phone using the same address that i sent the mms to my gmail i get the error below..

Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 552 552 #5.3.4 message size exceeds limit (state 17).

the pic is the same that i sent from my phone. im not using another phone to test it but my friend mentioned he sent me a mms this morning and i never got it.

is the 3.6.5 in the first post the one you used or did you get it someplace else? did you restore any data after the install?

you can send tests to yourself from the same phone btw, just put in your phone number in the To box.

yeah it was from the first post. i re-installed it again, did everything the same and now it seems to be working[: sent the mms from my phone to myself and it works. thanks a lot! i am forever in your debt! :D

What rom was your backed up apps from? Restoring apps that's were backed up from roms other than CTMod can cause problems.

But just do a factory wipe then reinstall your apps through the market manually and you'll be good.

Thanks blood for your reply. I haven't restored any apps from a backup, only download them from market. But still get force closes randomly with chrome, I'm on 3d unleashed 1.2ghz. I'm going to wipe data and cache, and dalvik see if that helps. Love. The work seems no one else is having the same problems.
