Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/01/13)

I installed this rom this morning and it is running great. 1 thing I noticed is when wifi is on and I wake phone wifi will not come back unless I go into wifi setting and tell it to connect. Other than that I really like the rom.

I get that sometimes since I have it set to turn off WiFi on Sleep. Just pull down the notification bar click to disable WiFi then Enable it again. Saves from going into settings and all that..
 
Just installed this rom with Hyper 1.5 ! Awesome! Thanks!

If, I go to Settings - Privacy - Factory Data Reset... This will erase my data/accounts synced etc. right? Going to ship this phone to my sister.

What is the favored kernel for battery life, which does not require tweaking out of the box. Hyper 1.5 <<on demand>> ?

yes, a factory reset wipes all user data and settings.

Hyper 1.5 on the default settings should be good battery life, you can also lower the min clock to 220 if you want and that would increase it some too.
 
OK, Blood. I finally got it installed and running the Hyper kernel with it. As always BRO, helluva good job. This baby is SMA-ooth............>>>:D.

camera works but it makes a sound like it is taking 20 pictures, makes tons of clicking noises, and then 10 second later the image appears in the corner. is this due to the default settings in the hyper 1.5 kernel?

anyone else have camera problem?
fix?

i get it too
 
oh man that's weird. i'm getting that too sometimes crazy camera shutter repeating noise or it freezes for a few seconds. it seems to be only the first shot and if you take any shots IMMEDIATELY after you have no problem or lag.
i've been trying to test it a little to confirm and have had problems trying to connect to camera randomly when i back out to the main screen. waiting a while and trying again and it loads up:confused:

and the camcorder freezes for 7 seconds from 30 sec to 23 sec and then starts going normally. playback is the same where it freezes and then plays

thanks for reporting it. its a bug in the kernel.
 
Perhaps a related issue, using the youtube app, my phone skips when playing the following video on hyper 1.5, this video can anyone replicate this video playback behavior? Some vids play fine, others have slow down, then speed up...

Had to pull battery, and when I rebooted i got a android.process.acore FC...

just giving feedback
 
Having same issue with camera. sometimes freezes and sometimes makes a
"stuttering" sound when taking a picture. Is there something I can do on my own to fix this?
 
I know that the problem with the shutter is in the kernel according to what Bloodawn said. Just wanted to post that the FF camera is working fine. Shutter sound is as it should be.

Most everything else seems to be working except for the known issues. Had to install wifi tether for wifi hotspot. Works fine as ad-hoc but can't get it to broadcast any other way. Probably a post in here somewhere about that. Guess I need to read up on it some more.:D

What you need to do is install "Any Cut" and then use it to make an ACTIVITY Shortcut that points to the LG Hidden Menu. There are three. One is a step above the other two, which are "Settings" and "Tests". You want your shortcut to be for "Settings".

Once you have that, click it and go to "Data Settings" and then to "DUN_NAI" and set "Extend Modem" to no. After that, you can simply activate the hotspot -- in infrastructure mode -- through the Android Settings menu.

The "Extend Modem" option doesn't persist, so you'll have to set it every time you reboot your phone, but other than that it works perfectly.

great job on the kernel Bloodawn running smooth when it runs how ever sometimes i get random freeze on youtube app and other random apps as well takes a few second to respond to touch some times screen will completely freeze up i had to take out the battery to reboot.

tested on min:300mhz max:1000mhz - min:220mhz max:1200mhz also min:300mhz - max:1300mhz
