Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/01/13)

I have the phone scan for AP's the password is a 36 digit password that I have used for a few years and I checked several times to make sure it was correct. I have connected to 3 other AP's and after 30 minutes that same problem creeps up and those 3 are public hotspots that don't require a password or MAC authentication. I have pulled the battery more times then I care and left them out for a minimum of 5 minutes. I have done everything except get a virgin to sacrifice.

I have run CT 3.68, and both the ICS and JB from being developed on this site for this phone. And 3.75 is the ONLY one that does this.

And I have cycled the router 3 times I even did a factory reset of the router as a final act of desperation. Any ideas?

Lmao @ the virgin sacrifice comment.

I honestly don't know what to tell you. You've done a helluva job troubleshooting it. Wish I could help but you've already tried everything it sounds like.

Got in the car and tried to connect bluetooth and it wouldn't connect. Looks like my bluetooth is broken. I'll try it on my ear piece when I get back to the house and do some troubleshooting. Will report back on what I find.

Bloodawn,

This is by far the highest I have scored in this benchmark...

For those who worship benchmarks...

My phone is doing the same. Can't connect to my car's Parrot CK3100.

Verson 3.75 Final release

To enable zram follow the instructions in S07HYPER. for info on what zram is click Here and scroll down a little.

What's S07HYPER?? how do I enable it, i want to try that because it giving me lags, i thinks its because no RAM available, apps in cache are staying too long.

Use a root file explorer and navigate to /etc/init.d.
Then mount R/W
Then ope the S07HYPER script and remove the "#" from the begining of the last 2 lines, Save and Exit.
Delete the S07HYPER.bak file and reboot.

Go to system/etc/init.d/S07HYPER and read. It tells you exactly what to do in the file itself. You will need to use the text editor to change the script. Once changed, reboot. When you have done all that, use a terminal emul. and type in su, press enter then "free" without the quotes, it will let you know if it's working or not. If you don't know how to do what I just explained, you probably don't need to be messing with it just yet. You could get in there and really mess something up.

UPDATE on bluetooth problem.

I just tested the bluetooth with my ear piece and it paired perfectly. The only difference between the ear piece and the car is that the car requires a password. The phone would not give me the option to enter the password and then force closed.

At least I know that bluetooth is working for my ear piece. I'll go out and work with the car a little tonight and see what I can get done. Once I get it paired and it stores the password, I should be OK. I just have to keep it from force closing so I can get the password entered. Hmmmm

Bloodawn, I am continually getting the error

" The application Settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

I get this every time the phone tries to display the screen for bluetooth password entry when trying to connect to my car.

Bluetooth works for devices that don't need a password.

did you have that problem with 3.68? I haven't changed anything related to BT in 3.75.

Eh, I shall survive. but it does seem like there might be a radio issue between the Wifi and Bluetooth. time will tell.

If this was a windows or Linux desktop I would have solved this issue. Software on phone is not my strong suit. hardware is.

Give it a little bit because there seems to be an issue in SETTINGS that is causing a force close when a password prompt for bluetooth is trying to display. Don't know if it has anything to do with your issue but who knows???? It just may.

I'm like you, I know PC's and hardware in and out pretty much. I've only been working with Android for a little over a year now. I have learned quite a bit but I've still got TONS & TONS to learn. :D

Im still running 3.68 with test kernel 3. Just had a lockup requiring a battery pull, right at about 40 hours uptime. Just lettin ya know.

I tried software about 25 years ago when Turbo Pascal was the big thing. I stopped because I almost threw the cart off the 5th floor landing. Hardware and the associated programs are much more my cup of tea. When it comes to what Blood dawn, TDM and that crew does. I have the utmost respect for them. However I won't lie. I picture lots of red bull in their trash cans when they go on a programming and debugging run like I have seen them do as of late.
