Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/01/13)

ya ive had governor changes, but only when Ive had the processor turned up past where it wants to go. for me thats 1200. I go 1300 and the phone seems like a huge pile of shit io changes, cpu stuck on max, so on. straight up, nothing u can do about it. bitch at lg for not having QC good enough for their 1000 processor to run 1300+.

as far as the 2day freeze. Im still PRETTY convinced its related to the governor some how. but i dont care enough to try others I like OndemandX/SIO. So tough shit install the app I mentioned, figure out what time you are in bed and set it to reboot every day at that time. Swear to god youll never know the damn thing re booted in the middle of the night.

Another thing for everyone's info since ondemandx is default. Dont use a screen off profile with this governor, its capped at 500 screen off.

Anytime I was running this I never had an issue. The best way to avoid kernel issues is to not save any settings to set on boot. If you reboot the phone, manually adjust your settings. It really doesn't take that long.

If you reboot the phone every day, that gets annoying rather quickly. Or if you automate the reboot process in the middle of the night, you'd like the settings to already be correct.

I agree, but saving kernel settings at boot almost always leads to an issue down the road. I would rather take 60 seconds to set it then have it freeze and lag on me. Again, this is just my preference so do whatever is easier in you. I was just letting anyone know that by doing this I have never encountered a problem.

not sure what's that theme files for.

is this "original" 3.75 theme???

or something new???

These have been fixed so that they will work with uot kitchen... this way anyone who wishes to use it to make a simple theme has the option to do so.

But I guess to answer your question... yes, this is the "original theme" Lol.

Bluetooth on mine is broken. Nobody can detect me when I become discover able I can see them but I cannot link. I have to use USB.

I've done a clean flash twice now since noticing it too but I've caught my governor occasionally switching to performance out of nowhere and was wondering if anyone else had seen it. I don't overclock at all though, keep it at 300 to 1k smartassv2/sio. I use system tuner pro which I thought was the problem, but last time I flashed I didn't install it and used voltage control and it still happened. I don't use any additional tweaks at all, I don't use titanium backup, and have seen it happen on a clean flash. I can't reproduce it which sucks I know, and usually only catch it if I notice I'm eating battery like a fat kid at a cake store. If I notice it again would a logcat help at all? It's just a minor inconvenience I had gotten used to by now, funny thing is since 3.75I haven't had the 2 day lockup, though I did have the governor switch on me in 3.68 as well, could it just be one of my apps?

Thanks so much. I don't know how I missed it. Do you just flash it in CW Recovery? I will have to search the thread tonight. Thanks again wetbiker7

No problem and yes its CWM flashable. Hopefully it'll solve your issue.

Thanks for grabbing that question for me Tito. I haven't been able to get in here as much as I would like these past few days. .

Ya sorry for busting your balls about it. It just started happened to me too. You can reproduce it by simply making a phone call. Look afterwards & your governor will be changed.

I don't know whose balls you were breaking but it wasn't me :p

Side note, I just checked and wasn't able to reproduce it with a phone call. Haven't seen it since I posted this either, of course. It's really just a minor inconvenience, but glad to see I wasn't the only one seeing it happen.

Is there a way to have the Miui/Ics/Jb task manager on CT? will be great the possibiliti for kill recent apps you want to close :)

If you're having those issues the answer is easy.... you haven't got something set up right. Also, do you have your phone turned up as fast as it will go? If you do, turn it down. All phones cannot handle being overclocked.

I've been running the new version of CTMOD and haven't had any of those problems. Kinda funny that most of the other people aren't experiencing those problems either. That should tell you something...... that you don't have it setup correctly.

If it were a problem with the ROM, everyone would have those issues. The lock up one every 24 or 48 hrs is known. A simple reboot once a day will solve that problem.

Either set your phone up correctly where it will run the way it's supposed to or go back to stock. Quit bashing the ROM because you don't know how to set up a phone correctly.

That being said, Happy New Year everyone! :D

I don't have anything set up wrong. Never overclocked Ctmod. Barely any apps. Girlfriend has same phone and issues. If it locks once a day, that's a buggy rom. Mine locks up multiple times. The forum is filled with people with similar issues. I'm not new to android and I'm a programmer so I know what I'm talking about.

It's been said, but this is the most stable rom there is for the marquee. If you have multiple lockups a day, you're doing something wrong, bad file or bad flash or who knows what. The forum is filled with a lot of praise for this great rom, but if you're a programmer that knows what you're talking about then fix it, or better yet get over to the ics/jb thread and help build a better one!

Thats great you know so much about the Android operating system and Linux kernels. Do you mind squirting some of your knowledge on my hand so I can beat my dick with it tonight?

The lock up after a couple days is a kernel bug, not the rom itself, and the 2nd post of this thread has a warning about it. If it bothers you so much just flash hyper 0.2 or install a different rom.
