I mean its only been a few minutes in and it is totally awesome. I love all the hard work you put in it . But a stock lg looks like crap But This mod has Reborn the Lg Marquee to the Extreme . It has done things faster now than ever before since i even first got it new 10 months ago and i love it love it lllllooovvveee it . Really a HTC Evo 4g aint got nothing on this lol . Im Like Wow . Im running out of Words to say . Thank You Thank You Thank You. I Will Donate Shortly.

Powerboot seems like a good app for a daily scheduled reboot. I've only been using it a few days but it works good so far. Just set it for whenever your asleep and forget about it.

oh, can you tell me what files are associated with accelerometer it wont calibrate, the dot is all the way at the bottom of the screen and wont move up or down just side to side. and when set to portrait sensor in adw its inversed. like in boat browser it wont rotate at all and all settings are set to auto rotate.

did you try making a backup and flashing the rom again to make sure it works? cause it sounds like a HW issue.

yeah i deleted my backups from my sd card like a dick. but it seems like ctmod is the only rom that gets any kinda play out of it.

other people have had the same problem in froyo and solved it like this

Try recalibrating using the Froyo shell tool

adb.exe shell
su
# /system/bin/sensorcalibutil_yamaha

is there anything like this i can do?

My phone battery dies 1% almost every minute without even being touched. Is this a common issue for anyone else? When im browsing apps, facebook, google and such it drops even faster.. Any ideas?

Something you have installed is probably doing it. Facebook is one app known for draining batteries.

No, not normal at all. Either an app is constantly draining your battery or the battery is old/defective and can't hold a charge well. If you go to Settings > About phone > Battery use maybe you can tell what's going on. Or you can install a battery monitoring app and even a data monitoring app, you can then tell which app is not well behaved.

Which battery/data monitoring app would you recommend? Thank you so much!

I use My Data Manager, not sure it's the best one out there, it's good enough for me. I do have a problem with it, it shows "Downloads" at the top sometimes even though there are no files downloaded, some other app may be downloading something, I'd like some details that it doesn't provide, not even sure it's possible to get more details.

Another popular one seems to be Onavo Count though I have not tried it.

I don't use a dedicated battery monitor, I just look once in a while at the stock one from Settings > About phone > Battery use (or thereabouts). I don't have any problems with the battery, I have an extended one that lasts almost 3 days so no need to monitor anything yet.

Ive been with CTmod for over a year now, and this is by far the worst release in terms of stability...not that any of them were very good. They warm boot about 20 times a day...you wont notice but your governors, etc will be changed. This final release locks up almost once a day requiring battery pulls.

The only bug is the phone locking up after being on for a couple days, and that doesn't even happen to everyone.

As for everything else you said I've never experienced and apparently neither has anyone else or I would of heard about it more than once in the month the release has been out.

I've been running CTMod since it was first released and it's solid as a rock. I do get the lock-up once in a while but it has never really been much of a problem. If you are having issues with CTMod it is likely your setup. You might want to review the apps you have installed and see which of those may be causing your issues. Good luck.

If you're having those issues the answer is easy.... you haven't got something set up right. Also, do you have your phone turned up as fast as it will go? If you do, turn it down. All phones cannot handle being overclocked.

I've been running the new version of CTMOD and haven't had any of those problems. Kinda funny that most of the other people aren't experiencing those problems either. That should tell you something...... that you don't have it setup correctly.

If it were a problem with the ROM, everyone would have those issues. The lock up one every 24 or 48 hrs is known. A simple reboot once a day will solve that problem.

Either set your phone up correctly where it will run the way it's supposed to or go back to stock. Quit bashing the ROM because you don't know how to set up a phone correctly.

That being said, Happy New Year everyone! :D

Stop trolling. If it was that bad, why have you been using it for over a year? Go sit in the corner and face the wall and think about everything you just said.

Kudos to those that have stood for bloodawn and his ct mod. As for myself I am only experiencing minor issues; mostly brought on by my own hand. Nothing to complain about. Here's to everyone having a happy and prosperous new year!

The rom is one of the most stable out there for a number of phones. If you think it's bad, wipe and re flash and watch how smooth it is. Now consider after you flash, anything else you install, changes to settings, that tweak you found on that forum that you installed even though you don't completely understand what it does, will all effect the rom and performance. Basically, anything you do after a flash blood is not responsible for unless it is directly caused by the build.

Secondly, there is no magic governor. Stop thinking that just because your not getting the same results as someone else with a particular setting doesn't mean the rom has a problem. Different combinations work for different devices as no two devices are exactly the same. Oh yeah, and just because your Overclock slider can go all the way to the right doesn't mean it should.

Blood has proven his abilities not just with CTmod but also the countless projects he has contributed to. A lot of his work is overlooked. He has logged hundred of hours of his own time and helped bring numerous devices beyond what they were assumed capable of just to get snarky comments from people who don't know what their doing in the first place. Check out some of the recent posts in the jb thread to see how much time goes into development. In my opinion, someone who doesn't understand and respect the amount of work and time goes into a solid rom or kernel with 1 bug doesn't have the right to make a negative comment in the first place. If it sucks that bad, build your own rom.

Hi
I want to root my phone's stock, Sprint Marquee, but I'm a little lost on the process. OP states:
How to install CTMod:
➯ Copy the zip to your SDCard
➯ Boot into ClockWorkMod
➯ Make a backup
➯ Select "install zip from sdcard"
➯ Select the CTMod.zip
➯ Select "yes"
➯ After its finished press back
➯ Select "reboot system now"

1) How do you install ClockWorkMod? What is the link?
2) I realize I have a few options as fas as ROM, etc, but how do I get the equivalent of Sprint stock, but rooted? This ROM sounds good, so maybe I will give it a try.

I roooted my Epic 4G touch, so I'm familiar with some of the processes; but I could not understand this one clearly.

thank you

Follow this link, it is where you need to start: http://androidforums.com/marquee-al...-your-updated-lg-marquee-phone-step-step.html

Once you have done that, come back to this thread to try the ROM. Good luck.
