Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/01/13)

Hey Blood a few post ago yous said that you will update the ROM with the relase of the new Kernel, will it have something new?
because there are a few things that would be good to add/change making the ROM near to perfection, like swipe to clear notifications, you just cant remove one and leave others, or remove all or don,t remove nothing.

I dunno bro, maybe.

gonna be some major fixes in the next update, and some new features I ported from CM7:

it was going to be but theres some bugs that needed fixed and couldn't just be patched, and I got bored.

so theres gonna be a final release part 2 when the new kernel is done =p

holly cr...
I can't wait. So excited.
Going to change my diaper :)

:dancing2:

unfortunately fixing gapps in the rom so play services and youtube fully work would require a full wipe. but if your not worried about those you could just skip the new rom and flash the kernel when its done, then you won't have to redo everything.

Hey Bloodawn,

How can I tell if I'm using the latest kernel v?

Currently installed is 2.6.35.14-HYPER-GB.v3
BD@SS #12

Sadly, I've been experiencing these crushing slowdowns again, even after fresh install and cache/dalvik wipes. It usually happens after I've been using the phone over an hour. Hoping new kernel and final final rom will cure my woes!

One more question for you...

My GooManager periodically tells me (automatically) that there's an update for my ROM. (I currently have installed CTMod 3.75 Final so I'm not sure why I keep getting this notification). When I have check manually for updates (tapping the "check for updates" button in GooManager), it tells me that no updates for my rom were found.

I prefer to flash my roms from recovery anyway, not through software, so it's a moot point anyway. But I'm still curious why I keep getting a rom update notice.

OK, just flashed to 2.6.35.14-H4.BB12RC1+
BD@SS #12

Should I have cleared my cache/dalvik again?

Hoping this will help reduce the slowdowns... I'll be sure to check in and let everyone know how it goes.

nah, you don't have to wipe anything.

you can disable the auto update check in goo's settings if its telling you theres one when there isn't.

btw, goo doesn't actually flash the rom, it just downloads it to your sdcard, then you boot to CWM and flash it like normal.

So far, so good since installing the new kernel.

Phone has been on since yesterday afternoon and no slowdown. Amazing. I'll keep using it and let you know if and when I experience any lag or freezing.
