Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

Couple of questions...
1. Is the "super secret mod" for KK2.4 part of the default/SSM setting?
2. When restoring from cwm do we restore data and ext? (sorry I know this was explained just couldn't find the post)

Thanks in advance

1) It's enabled by default. You will still need to partition you sd card via adb in order use the 3 partition form of the SSM. If you have already partitioned with adb and have not repartitioned your card, you are good2go. The new CTMod has an option in the settings/CTMod settings/KoumaKernel settings to enable data or the SSM. If you want to use the SSM, DO NOT CHECK THE DISABLE INTERNAL/DATA (lol), it will lock on the KoumaKernel screen when you reboot;). Reboot after you have made your selection.

2) If you only want to restore your apps, just restore the sd-ext. This is the way I restore all of my apps. :D

Thank you for your hard work, I really like CTMod 3.5.

Is there an easy way to update the PRL?

Looking through the forums I saw some posts that seemed complex. I'm fine with my prl as 61007 but I'm betting it could be better.

The only way to UPDATE your PRL is to flash back to CTMod 2.5 or earlier.

You can change it to one of your choosing though if you want. There is a thread in the All Things Root section that tells you how to do it. ;)

Hi All,
I've been watching this thread for a few months now. I loaded cwm a while back and I finally decided to bite the bullet and flash this ROM. I went amazingly smooth and I'm really liking it. Thanks to Blooddawn, Koumajutsu, hroark13 for all their work and to all the helpful contributors who assist with answering questions.

A few questions:

Email: I added back Email from the removed app zip. I works fine, but doesn't seem to be the same stock email package I had previously. Fro example, it doesn't seem render HTML as my stock email app did (it didn't do so by default, but had a "View Entire Email" button which did.

Calendar: Similar deal. Added back from removed app zip, and it doesn't have same features - different L&F - Can't set default startup view (month, day, week), etc..

It's possible that the features may be there, but I'm not readily seeing them.

Any thoughts/advice? Can I somehow restore the stock apps I had from a CWM or Titanium backup? [I was was on Gengerbread 2.3.6 with EJ06]

finally upgraded from ctmod3.3 to ctmod3.5 going to see how it goes. gonna try to oc using the voltage control to...see if i can get it faster than 800MHz lol wish me luck

I figured that LordVincent but it doesn't take. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong...I download to root of card and install zip from sdcard with CMW

Yep, thanks Blood...I think it was, at any rate I tried it with red-fx and it themed fine. Since I got you bro, is there anyway to incorporate media player buttons onto the lock screen (or foward/reverse with volume buttons)?? TY

try cloud skipper music player (the market thinks it's incompatable, but it works fine)
It has its own 'lock screen'

Looks like a nice music player. Also kudos on the Bassnectar bro :D

I flashed 3.5 today after being on 2.5 for ages and it runs great. Love what you did with the notification widgets Bloodawn.

Downloading notification text still unreadable.
Same goes when sending/receiving files over Bluetooth.

Emergency dialer has "Call" button from original CT Mod.

Emergency dialer's letters next to numbers on numberpad are from previous versions of CT Mod.

Dialer pad while in call has letters next to numbers on numberpad that are from previous versions of CT Mod.

See photos (thanks to awesome screenshot function)

GOOD WORK BLOODAWN!!!

Anyone else notice this on their installation?

I recently updated from 3.0 to 3.5 and now I'm having trouble with devices connecting using wireless tether. Great work otherwise, much faster and everything else I use works perfectly.

am i the only one still having lag issues?

I have a slight lag once in a while. But at least I don't have to restart my phone every 3 minutes.
I just go to the lock screen wait it out for a min or two. Then unlock either something will close or it'll run smooth again .

i use xfinity for email, house phone and internet and tv are all on xfinity. when i was on 3.3 & 3.4 i would sign in and would stay signed in until reboot or turn phone off. now on 3.5 i sign in and is ok for like 10 mins then after that i always have to keep signing back in. (sucks to have to keep typing in sign in and password). i hit remember me and in xfinity settings hit log off never and still get bumped off after like 10 mins. anyone have an answer or a way to auto sign in to sites????

if i was to use titanium and long click on app and it will give option to convert to system app, would that work, and or keep it signed in maybe, and have never converted app to sytem app???

I personally think the lag issue is directly linked to memory usage..just like a PC with 256mb of ram will be slower than one with 2gb would be...I use android booster
when I start to lag it closes all your background apps tbat are essentially eating up your memory causing lag

I've been having issues with ctmod lag also. And I don't know if it's related, but sometimes the phone just seems to freeze solid. My usb cable stopped working so I haven't had a chance to adb logcat it until now. I installed one of those wifi adb apps and here's what I see in the logcat right now while the phone is frozen:

Code:
W/SensorService( 622): dropping 1 events on the floor
That just keeps scrolling over and over again. Don't know what the heck that means but hopefully it's helpful :D

In case you need to know, I just recently used odin to flash EJ06 with cwm5 and I'm using ctmod 3.5 with ssm enabled.

[EDIT] I have a theory it might have something to do with the overclocked kernel. I didn't change and over clock settings, just had whatever is default. So my plan right now is to run KoumaKernel 2.2 GB CWM that was release before the overclock was put in all day tomorrow and see if I still have the problem.

[EDIT2] Phone froze again but with a different repeating message. Now it says

Code:
W/SharedBufferStack( 692): waitForCondition(LockCondition) timed out (identity=4, status=0). CPU may be pegged. trying again.

It's late tonight but maybe tomorrow I'll reflash with odin and start from scratch.
