That 1 app metro station, On the place store for icon says that you pick the 1 you want and then go into your launcher and you can apply it. So by skater saying no but why does that app say yes. Just asking.

I just looked that app up, it only works on supported launchers.

So in theory I could change the launcher and then find compatible icon packs? I don't really have a lot of time during the week to play around with it due to my work hours so just trying to get info before the weekend when I know I have time. Pretty sure I saw in this thread somewhere that the launcher can be changed in this mod. Please correct me if i'm mistaken:)

I guess that should work from the way that skater was sayin. And yes the launcher can definitely be changed, just installing new 1 first before you delete the old ones. I guess they say that a adw launcher is supposed to be great and very customizable I've never used it, it may be compatible with the icon stuff.

Did have a question about the sd card, after installing everything and going through the mods I have zip and apk files on my sd card. Can I make a folder and move them into it without messing anything up? I don't see why not but better safe than sorry since I know I have to copy that stuff back to the sd card when doing a restore.

i do not know the answer to that. i would guess putting them all in folders or organizing would slow down the phone or make it not be able to find stuff. you might try coppying sd and then try that, if doesn't work just erase and recopy from pc back to sd, no reformatting or anything like that. if you do try that let us know if it works or not. i know would make the sd neater, when i look at mine it has so many folders, zips, ect...

Yea, that's perfectly fine. all of my rom.zips etc are in a folder named 'Admin documents' that way when i go to flash them they are near the top of the list. Saves me time scrolling through my sd since i have tons of folders.

Once the zip has been flashed, or apk has been installed it's not necessary to even stay on the sdcard. they don't actually run from the zips, the zip just installs files to the system. Same goes with an apk. You click it, or copy/paste it, it installs and leaves the original on the sdcard.

A Good question about this, what I'd like to know and he might be wanting to know the same, your flashable themes like from J 6. Me I got pretty much all of them on my SD card so I can switch to a whenever I want. Can you make a folder and put all of those in 1 folder to organize your SD card? For some reason I didn't see the whole post using my phone, I guess you answered that yes you can.

Awesome thanks for that info, kinda figured it wouldn't be an issue for the phone I just wanted to make sure. I did put my vids in folder and now I have to search for them when I go to play them rather than MX player finding them on it's own but that's cool. Thought that might be the case with the zip/apk files but sounds like it's all good. Thanks again.

in mx settings you can select what folders to search in. and make sure there is no .nomedia file :/ folder

Cool thanks, I found it. Also I was wondering if I change my launcher, what exactly gets changed as far as appearance? Just the launcher or the over all theme?

The overall theme will be unaffected.

Try it and see... worst case scenario- you don't like it, you uninstall it and everything returns back to the way it was ;)

Now I just have remember how to install the launcher correctly lol

Which one? If from the play store, just download, then press home key once it installs and select the new launcher. (it doesn't have to be a system app) if it's one you downloaded from a third party source, most likely you just have to find where you downloaded it to with a file explorer, tap it and select install.

Ah ok, thought it had to be a system app for some reason. Looking to install Go launcher and then use a Go launcher theme.
You don't need to have root to change launchers :p they are for all users.

Also, IMHO you may end up disappointed with go launcher. At least in my case, i found Go Launcher to dramatically slow the phone down. It consumes quite a large account of the prevails limited ram. (now keep in mind i have not returned to it in quite some time, and updates may of helped)
but my launcher of choice for both customizing and available themes, while maintaining the speed is ADW. Hands down the smoothest customizable launcher i have used

You should try both (or several launchers, lol) and see what suites your needs.

Well I was actually gonna get it simply for the steampunk theme, so if there is a version of that for ADW then I would be happy with that. I too like to run a smooth non resource hog environment. Got my phone quick and smooth right now and really just want to change the launcher icons and such so i'll keep checking it out for now.
