Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

Great rom by the way but was wondering can you change the lockscreen? Is there a settings for that? LOL i happen to like the standard basic lockscreen.

I seek your guidance please.
I am currently using a Galaxy Prevail CTmod with Boost.
I need to use windows 8 either on my prevail or on a verizon network non or contract unlimited everything that I can root and install a windows 8 os to network with my windows 8 network at work, school and home for skydrive use.
Does anybody have any links for my search?

I'm confused... windows 8 will never be run on an android.... I hope. And are you talking about remoteing into a computer and installing a OS? I don't think I can even do that with all the stuff I do with this awesome AOS.

I do. It happened to me too, I have no idea where it came from. I supposed it was set up to DL after an Inet connection was made like WiFi. I never figured it out and never really cared to. I checked the .apk out and saw nothing to be worried about though, if this helps anyone sleep at night.

Thank you DaisFlaque, I guess I must eventually buy an HTC 8X and buy verizon's service, I just wondered if there were any other alternatives to be able to integrate with the windows 8 skydrive and access my files form my prevail CTmod boost phone until I can do the transition. Thank you for any pointers into the proper forums.
 
I am confused......... I access Skydrive all the time from My Prevail, as well as Dropbox..... Skydrive has an Android App for free on the Market.....( there is a Microsoft Skydrive App and several 3rd party apps who can access Skydrive....

Maybe I am not awake enough to understand the problem.... ;)
 
So, got an interesting question for the developers and veterans.

Per se, if i wanted 360 launcher(Like 187-Honeybread ROM)and Smart Keyboard Pro(Bought it, Love it.), rather than the stock CTMod 3.75.2 launcher and keyboard...could i:
1-uncompress the CTMod zip file to it's own named folder.
2-delete the stock KB, Launcher, Music Player, phone and Messenger service.
3-then replace the deleted apps with Smart KB Pro, 360 Launcher, Ubermusic, pixel phone pro and Handcent SMS apps.
4-zip it back up then transfer it to my newly formatted SD Card.
5-and install it via CWM, and everything work exactly like it's supposed to?

I noticed it was cake to unzip the CTMod file and dig through the apps, and IMHO, deleting the stock apps and replacing them with the same kind of app that does the same thing but a different app than what it was, i'd think it would work perfectly. But then again, i'm no developer by far so i don't know.
Just thought i'd ask...alot of stock apps suck customization-wise, like the messenger...
 
It would be easier to just open the file in 7zip (not unzip it) delete the apps you don't want, then drag and drop the new ones into the still-compressed zip. :)
 
Hi Bloodawn. I would like to know if CTMod 3.75.2 Final is the latest update for my Samsung Galaxy Prevail because I rooted my phone and used it. Thanks in advance.

Yes, it is the latest update, although Blood did mention just last week or so ago that he may be releasing something new he's been working on sometime in the future.

I was just dusting off my prevail so I could test apps on it and thinking it needed a rom update.

I hope you got Long press to skip songs on it. And add it to the ZTE so i can port it over to the Merit :D. i'm stuck at interceptKeyBeforeQueing.
