Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

I noticed that after I install KoumaKernel 1.1 GB CWM it makes the CTMod 2.4 Dock disapear. Don't know where it went.

It effectively does a /data wipe. so it goes back to default, if you turn your phone off, then take out the SD card and boot without it, you'll see everything back the way it was before you installed 1.1 :)

I'm already experimenting with having 2 sdcards, one with a differnte setup than the other. all the /system apps would be the same, but settings, ringtones, contacts, bound google account, etc could be different

I am assuming you don't see the application grid. the dock should be there.

long press on the screen, add, shortcuts, select application grid. then drag it down to the bottom of the screen and it should connect to the dock.

Hey Bloodawn,

I have been waiting to try this out ever since you mentioned it earlier. A question. Is it possible to make the removed apps cwm zippable? Lordvincent mentioned something like it in the nemesis thread. That way a person could delete the stuff from the zip they don't want, and keep stuff like live wallpapers, for example, and just flash it from cwm. Or, could I just add stuff that I want to your emailfix zip, and do it that way?

does this have kouma latest kernel?

Sorry for the long post, I do appreciate your work

You can use the emailfix zip or the Apk installer zip

The kernel that comes with the rom is still 1.0

I didn't want to include 1.1 and have people reporting issues if their card is slow or they can't access apps they had with a2sd or something like that

Hey guys I got something real strange, never had this problem before. I installed the 2.5 version but could not get a signal on my phone, it kept beeping like it does when it's trying to connect, so I tried going back to stock, and I got the same deal. My phone now refuses to get a signal, just keeps beeping like it's trying to find one, but never does (near the signal bars) any ideas what this means?

did you try stock? did you redownload the rom?
does it say 'unknown' in menu>settings>about phone> ?(for baseband or hardware)

The stock I used is fine. I put it back to the way it was, CTMod 2.5, KoumaKernel 1.1 GB, I don't have a red x, but there are no bars. In the settings everything looks normal, but it says under the Status tab/selection Mobile Network State: Disconnected and every once in a while 1 bar shows up, but no "3 G" thingy.

I turned on my wifi and was able to update my PRL, but it still shows 1 bar, no 3g data connection, everything else is still norm, but still showing Mobile Network State: Disconnected.

I took out my memory card, the phone froze up, so I rebooted, all the sudden I had 3G again, but just 1 bar, and the Mobile Network State was now showing Connected. I'm going to try and odin back to stock with no sd card and see what gives.

go to CWM and do a factory reset and format /sd-ext

It might be a setting on the FAT side of your SD card.
try deleting everything on there but your DCIM folder and your Media folder.
(Those are your pics and your custom ringtones/music respectively)

I installed this mod this morning, and cant seem to get my apps to install and remain installed after a reboot. Using link2sd and trying to restore my apps from titanium.
does this include the new kouma kernal which does not support link2sd and similar apps?

You know..... I've been noticing what appears to be a trend of "I restored my apps with Titanium" along with "I now have this problem"

I'm beginning to suspect a connection.

Anyways, to answer your question, CTMod 2.5 has KK1.0. so it should work just fine with link2sd

I know that every time I want to make a backup of my apps, I make a directory on my SDcard, typically named, AppBackup.

I then open a terminal and type in "cp /data/app/* /sdcard/AppBackup"
(without quotes of course)
then when I need to "restore" I browse into AppBackup with my favorite file browser and run each one through the normal install routine. I always skip the ones that are updates to system apps because I find that it can lead to issues or fail to install if I don't update from the market

That is a great tip Kouma, and I am going to try it this very afternoon. You should post this in a new thread. Along with any other tips of yours for using the command line and working in the terminal. Thanks!

I let it sit over night off and charging, I just woke up and put in an old 2gb sd card, did not even turn it on, plugged it in to the pc and did a factory restore of ee14, now it seems to be fine. No idea what that was all about. My sd card was empty by the way, nothing was installed yet.

Bloodawn..

How do we install the new 2.5V? Will over write everything and set it back to your theme? Or will it just update it if we install as an up date?
