Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

3g speeds been fine for me. Ive done 2 phones. Both get decent 3g connection.
Try updating PRL
 
Please excuse my ignorance.

Question:
Will updating to GB and rerooting, void usage of this mod or can it be reapplied?

Verson 2.0
redid the whole ROM for Gingerbread
Includes Koumajutsu's newest kernal
brand new Notification Widgets, has 10 widgets that you scroll sideways on
Carrier IQ completely removed(again)


Known bugs:
Boot animations are screwed up so there isn't one, you will see a black screen while the phones booting up so don't freak out
Brightness widget doesn't work
If you turn on Bluetooth the phone will reboot
Holding down Camera button force closes zeam

Everything else i tested worked fine
 
Having camera issues after a fresh install. Pressing the camera button results in a force close of Zeam. I installed Go Launcher and same thing happened when I pressed the camera button. I went into Clockwork and wiped dalvik and fixed permissions and when I rebooted into CTMod pressing the camera button no longer resulted in a force close but it also didn't open the camera app. Using the camera shortcut in the applications list works though.

i haven't made a new zip yet for them, the old ones won't work

gallery3d from the stockapps 1.2 works. it is all that i wanted, so i could change wallpaper

same thing with the camera button for me.

Oops. I got a force close with gallery 3d from stockapps 1.2. You were right Bloodawn!
 
Blood, I was trying out your new GB based rom and I couldn't get it to boot passed the samsung logo. I flashed back to stock, cleared all caches and tried again, with the same results. Any idea what I may be doing wrong?

hey blood I can't seem to change my wallpaper. When I try my launcher fc's and restarts.any ideas?

Edit: used home switcher to go back to zeam, changed wallpaper, then switched back to SPB and it worked fine

You gotta have a custom kernel on for the rom to flash. If you woulda tried flashing the rom, rebooting back into cwm then flashing it again it probably would of worked
 
This is great Bloodawn. One thing I noticed is that the phone doesn't remember the "stay awake" setting under applications/development, after a reboot. This is the case with both with a full power off, and also the reboot option. I can't remember if this was the case in stock or not, can someone verify?

I have always come back to this mod. I like the idea of starting with a barebones system and building it up. Thank you!

Edit: I am also getting a force close with SetCPU after a bootup. Uninstalling setcpu for now
 
CTMod working great! Only issues I've encountered so far are the known ones. Will your themes run on this now or do they need to be updated for 2.0?
