nah those are just for testing right now, you can try them out and see which one works best if you want
try pulling GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk out of the app zip in the first post and move it to /system/app then reboot and see if your button works
his gapps might work, idk

you could probably use titanium backup to backup and restore some of your stuff if you wanted

That's what I was trying to install actually. I finally figured a way to get CTMOD 2.0 installed perfectly.
- Put the CTMOD 2.0 zip on your sdcard first before you do this
- Use ODIN and install FRESH install of (DOWNLOAD EJ06 Gingerbread Rooted Image with CWM5 made by Chin Checka)
- When the install is complete reboot, make sure to hold Volume up and Power button to go into CWM.
- In the CWM screen, reset factory settings
- Mounts options -> Mount all the partitions (just in case).
- Press Back
- Install from zip -> choose the CTMOD 2.0 zip.
- When it finishes reboot the phone
- Your done!

I'm only having two problems really. When I click on Menu -> Wallpapers -> it saids there is no application to be able to do this. I've installed root explorer and IO file explorer but none of them seem to work. Any ideas?
When I click the camera button on the phone to launch the MUI camera application the Zeam launcher force closes. Though I can launch the application just fine from the application list.

you gotta install a image viewer to change wallpaper. Gallery3D or Quickpic, something like that

I fixed it
All I had to do was move the stock Camera.apk back and it fixed the problem. I put an icon on my home screen for the MUI one in case I ever need it. I'm a bit OCD and having broken buttons just aggravates me lol. Doesn't hurt to have more then one camera app really at least for me

Last question I have almost everything running back to normal.
Is there any reason why my Email.apk keeps force closing? I'm guessing there is a missing APK that it needs. I've put it in the system/app folder. Made sure it has the right permissions and such.
The funny part is it worked initially when setting up the account. However when the account setup was done and it was going to load the inbox it Forced Closed. Now it force closes every time I open the application.
Have any ideas?

Ok blood, the first seemed to be much better than the second in fact the second was the lowest of all I forgot to write down the numbers exactly but it was much worse. The first seems to be averaging high 900's download now. Hope this helps, and I love this mod bro

I really do Love this Mod. And that is saying a lot because I really loved ShabbyMod. This paired with GB is excellent.
I am having problems with bluetooth, which I rarely use since I hate earpieces. Sometimes pair with my GPS but not very often.
Anyway, playing with it today and it basically locked up my phone. It kept sort of resetting back to lockscreen. I could not turn bluetooth off either. I turned Bluetooth on using the buttons on the notifications screen. Have not tried doing it from the Settings menu.
Screen would freeze and reset back to lock screen. Rebooting phone did not help.
I assume it came with Kouma Kernel .1 I tried flashing the modified Optimus kernel, but it did not help.
I did not do a wipe but I restored from my CWM backup from last night after I installed CTMod. I had forgotten how much stuff I had done since that backup. CWM is really a lifesaver.
Anyway, Have not tried reproducing the problem yet, but will after I back up all this stuff I am redoing.
Also, I notice that I cannot restore an app that was a system app when saved with Titanium. User apps are fine. I do not know if this is because of CTMOD, GB, Titanium or A2SD. It gives the window that it is restoring but never completes. Does not matter if I select app only or app and data.

Yeah, the Bluetooth phenomenon occurs even if I go to settings and turn on Bluetooth. Although this time when I rebooted, I was able to go back into settings and turn it off. I never could do this the first time when I selected it from the notifications screen.
Probably unrelated question. With GB is it still a good idea to use a program like SD Speed Booster? I have it set to 2048.

the bluetooth problem might not be related to the rom cause i saw some other people having the same thing happen that aren't using ctmod
I'm not using one atm but if its not giving you any issues i don't see anything wrong with using a sd booster

I actually do not remember if I even tried to toggle Bluetooth after I installed GB. I do know that GPS works fine.
I reinstalled several apps that you do did not include with the ROM. This is just my personal preference and I understand that. Something to consider for future versions if many others agree.

I would recommend bundling A2SD with this although I know some prefer Link2SD for some reason. IMHO there is no comparison.
Excellent job on this and a great enhancement to vanilla GB. I am amazed at the pace and quality of your output.

just trying for better speeds I removed thes two apk's and what a difference it made. they are usless to me anyway, i dont have speed test, but downloads are much better for me.

just put the apps you want back into the zip before putting rom into sd card. Maps i can understand its a big file and free on market. But by removing search/dialer...the search button doesnt work anyone(expect within apps)
Also blood stated he doesnt use A2SD...i think CTMod started as a personal rom he decided to share(*i think!) so...unless he decides to change it..your going to have to do a2sd before hand. Its not that hard really.

I cant get any wallpaper to load some error on the screen. i added

From my understanding, the Zeam launcher does not have theme support at the moment. But it is light, fast, and quite elegant. It does not offer as many of "bells & whistles" of some of the other launchers, but it does offer more than stock, and in my opinion is quite capable. With the wallpaper of your choice, you can tailor it to your liking. With launchers, there will be some trade-offs regarding personal preference and feature support.
Personally, i think it was the perfect pairing with this streamlined mod. I really do like Zeam.

@trialnerror: If you scroll up and read some of the previous threads I already asked this question silly.
All you have to do is install QuickPic really or some gallery app. Then use the APP itself to set the wallpaper. Don't use the launchers built in ability as this won't work (well for me it never has lol). I used QuickPic and was able to setup my wallpaper with no fuss. Actually I really love the app... so much better then the default gallery app that came with stock.
@Bloodawn: not sure if you saw my earlier question. I'm still having issues trying to get my Email.apk working. I posted it a few posts up

I just read about the bluetooth is anyone else having bluetooth issue's?
I also have them, I am not running this but I think I may know why its an issue.
I run deodexed apps and framework, as I see this does, maybe the bluetooth.apk doesnt like it.
