Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

Listen its not a matter of me needing to complain. I am very grateful. I have not complained about anything, in fact if you have read any of my posts I have called this the best Rom I have used. I am thankful for people like Blood who has the skills and the time and the patience to put together a master piece like this. I feel like its made for me. Since day 1 I have always toggled my 3g on and off thru the setting menu. I do so to save battery consumption. After I flashed the ROM and went to use my 3g it was unable to be turned on. What do you want me to say. There is no other widget or control in the area where all the icons are. I thought there was a bug so I let Blood know. Isn't that what I'm supost do, let him know if I find something that doesn't work ? Koumajutsu you may be a programmer or just more experienced user than most people, me included and somethings aren't even a road bump for you. Just remember not everyone who mentions that they are having a problem is complaining. On that note thank you again Blood and you too Koumajutsu for making this phone alot better and more enjoyable to use. This Rom is awesome.

Kool I was feeling bad about that, I mean I know sometimes some of the questions I ask arent the smartest. Since I got your attention, Love the boot I was happy with no boot, I thought that was the way It was supost be. I just loaded in the fix and it looks good.

I just used ES file explorer to do this wasnt that easy since icons have no lables and guess your spose to know based on what the icon shows, but to do it

open es file explore
push the hardware settings button bringing up the menu
click settings then move down change home directory to / from /Sdcard/
click the option below says root explore
and click below that mount file system (changes to writable)
Find the file under sdcard folder hold click and copy the app
then click folder up icon (blue with green arrow) to go back to main folder
click system folder
and click app folder
then move the lower arrow up and should show the app their click on it to copy to that location

Thanks so much for Bloodawn seams great! Only thing better would be if you had a second version with Gallery and Email and Titanium backup preinstalled!

I'm not going to write you a book on how to move something to a system folder. If you read the README or even looked through the thread you would of saw i said to use root explorer or adb, i cant help it if you don't have either

If all you wanted to do was change wallpaper you could of just downloaded quickpic from the market

I really don't care if you use the rom or not, thats up to you but if you start posting questions without actually reading anything at all don't expect much

Thank you for that Lizzord, I didn't want to overwhelm him with information so I figured if he came back after getting as far as I had instructed him, we could continue from there
 
I used to update file for 2.1 I did have 2.0 and it worked fine and when I used the update it changed my date to 11/27/17 which was fine I changed it back but it killed my battery over 5% per hour so I restored my 2.1 and no problems and I just got home and just download the full version not just the update and so far great so I don't know if I just got unlucky or if the update is buggy

I see you went with the clean splash version. Good choice. I'm still not settled on what it should be. Maybe by kernel 1.1 I'll have it figured out :)

I've been creeping the CM7 thread since the GB update, just waiting for the official GB release. Well official per hroark least ways lol... I keep seeing people mentioning that they are running it on the GB baseband but having problems. Really? You're running a FY mod on GB and having problems? Who'd of thought lol... Anywho thanks for the boot ani fix guys and transitoy awesome, I will be trying my hand making one myself soon. Thanks for the AWESOME mod and all of the education you guys have shared with a burgeoning droid developer!
 
I'll be messing with my phone this weekend. I am finally ready to enter the realm of gingerbread and more importantly I am pumped to try out this rom. It has been awhile since I flashed my phone so is this the correct order, 1) update cwm 2) odin koumajutsu's gingerbread 3) Root phone 4)Flash CTMod 2.1 and 5) install dta2sd? I guess I could odin chin checkas all in one, but it would be a bigger rush to do it one step at a time. All right, fingers crossed and you guys rock!

P.S. When will this be STICKIED?

Can't wait. I am trying to go the dev way, starting with themes. But I have been mainly reading, I didn't realize there was so much information and avenues to consider. Plus completely unfamiliar with linux, so it is an up hill battle for me

Love the animation and have the utmost confidence in the kouma kernel.

The talent on this forum is starting to work together closely which is awesome

I was wondering why it was crashing also. I was just screwing around in settings and noticed it. It hasn't been a issue for me since juice defender auto toggles my connections for me. You should add this to your original post so people can be prepared.

I like ur rom alot hence frustration when I could not get gallery,email and couple others moved. Is gb a battery killer? Maybe its my battery but with both your Tom and cm7 my battery sufferes and if I do a reboot I lose 5-10% phone is 3 months old.

I've been running 2.1 for close to a week. I am still amazed at the speed, and completeness of the Rom, I will install on my son's phone next. Thanks
