Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

What would be the perfect set up for ct3.2 with kk2.0 and dta2sd..... ?
You don't need dta2sd if you use KK2.0. KK2.0 does the same thing. So the best way to install from my experience if that's what you're asking, is to first Odin to Stock Gingerbread rooted w/ CWM EJ06 or FA19. Then install CTMod 3.2. Then I install the volumefix.zip that Blood posted a couple days ago because the ringtones and notifications were pretty low volume for me. This is when I go into CWM and partition my sdcard. Then install KK2.0. That's what I did with my last install and it's working very well.

Also, I reboot between each step. I don't know if it's absolutely necessary every time, but it's how I've gotten the best results.

Hope that helps.

Sorry for the off topic, but I have to ask.

For those of you that use Handcent SMS with CTMod, what theme do you use? Just curious because everything I see just doesn't seem to feel right to me...

WTF! just did my the volumefix and now my phone is a blank black screen when i unlock it!

how do I fix?

also how do you use titanium back to restore apps?

In my many (somewhat drunken) experiments with flashing CT mods and further modifying it, a couple times I had the same thing happen. It was due to my replacing Zeam launcher with Go and the phone wouldn't recognize Go as a system app until after a reboot. I had to reflash back to EJ06 and start from scratch to be safe. I agree with Roguefoxx's recent post, it's safer to reboot after each individual step.

All you need to do is go into CWM and go to "install zip from sdcard" > "choose zip from sdcard" and choose volumefix.zip. Let it finish installing, then go to the main menu and click "reboot system now". That's it.

And yes, if it messes up for some reason just go into CWM and restore your backup and you're good to go.

Well that's what you have to do. As Bloodawn already said, volumefix doesn't do anything that would screw up your phone, so it had to have been something else that went wrong. I've installed it numerous times already because I'm continuously trying new things and have never had an issue with it.

1. copy the volumefix.zip to your SD card. Boot to CWM. install zip from SD. reboot the phone.

2. yes.

:D

worked like a charm this time!

Glad to hear it!

I have saved myself MANY hours of work and aggravation thanks to Titanium and CWM fixing my screwups. ALWAYS backup when you mod, and BACKUP your backups to your PC every now and then!

One note on that: You can't change CWM backup file folder names without breaking the MD5 checking. I create a new folder named for a major checkpoint backup and copy the CWM file into that on my PC.

Thanks Blood! Talk works flawlessly now.

GoogleQuickSearchBox and magnifying glass button map seems to be crashing as well like Talk did previously.

First of all, infinite thanks for this mod. I like CM7, but this is so much more compatible with my current app choices. A couple of things I've noticed:

1) I have also experienced the previously mentioned phenomena of the media scanner not finding 2/3 of my music. I tried to add in the standard android music player in addition to, and in place of MIUI, with no success. Anyone else experienced and fixed this?

2) When a call is in progress and you want to unlock to end it, the top button turns off the screen (with the CRT animation). Then you have to push it again to wake up and end. A minor annoyance.

I'm running KK 2.0 also

There's a setting in the MIUI app that tells it to avoid media files under a certain size. I have a lot of small audio clips and such, so I normally turn it down all the way. I haven't had any other issues with it after that.

1)it scans at boot for me fine, and i check and play my music using the jack to my mustangs output on the cd player, and one by one, it plays the music w/o issues....using CTMOD 3.2 with KK that was with the mod.

2) hes mentioned it before, its a WIP, a minor annoyance yes, but its kind of a cool ani...my friend hates it too...but, if you catch it before it sleeps by pushing Speaker. maybe next update it will get fixed. click here for the quote

ignore it

it should only pop up the first time you open the app i think

yea, its still poping up...
if i click update, will it download an update? or break the app because its a special install...or just say its not installed...
i usually use Root Explorer anyway, but this is sometimes quicker, since it only has access to the SdCard...
thanks.

That's the first thing I tried. No Joy. At this point I don't even have MIUI. I went back to KK 1.3 unofficial Chachi 420 version, and all is well. CTMod is not to blame.

I can confirm that both are working properly . Uninstall and re-install . Also , if you use Voice , you can download it from the market . The Voice.apk in the removed app zip kept crashing on me . . Maps can be downloaded from there also .

This is a known issue .
