Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

if a partition exists then yes, /data/app is automatically moved to /sd-ext

you can also edit the koumamod file in /system to move all of /data to /sd-ext, or disable the mod completely. more info on it is in the first post of the KoumaKernel thread.
 
im currently running 3.2 with kk2.1 and the supersecretmod installed i just got everything back to the way i want it. questions
1 is it worth upgrading to 3.3
2 can i flash it over 3.2 with out loosing all my apps
3 will it take out the super secret mod

That being said, if you move all of data to the /sd-ext you should have a class 10 card shouldn't you? Otherwise you'll get quite a bit of lag won't you? I ask because I think I tried it once with my class 4 card and it was quite laggy with KK 1.2 or .3 or something.

I never had a problem until 3.2 came out. I redownloaded and reinstalled, wipe data and that davorick or whatever it is called, and still get the Cannot find page error which sucks because I love the mod but need my bank app

1) its worth it if you want broke shit unbroked =p

2) backup your sd-ext in cwm, flash the rom, reboot to recovery, go to advanced restore and restore your sd-ext.

really depends on the card i guess

some people before said they had class 10's and lagged and some people said they had like class 4's and everything was fine

just gotta see what works best for you

i got the simple green theme up.
i changed a bit of it.
not very much...
now on to actually theming the rom! xD
so gotta do research and learn the how and what.
 
Crap . I just installed 3.3 and my market lets me sign in but doesn't show the apps that I've purchased . I wonder what's up with that ? I've already wiped the data and even went as far as re-flash 3.3 but still no justice . I'm working on it now . Anyone else having or had this issue ? If so , what was done to remedy it ?


EDIT: I fixed it by going in to CWM and restoring my sd ext. . It's all good now .:D

ok as far as number 2 goes i backed up my phone in cwm before i installed 3.3 now i advanced restored sd-ext but it did not restore all my apps so should i advance restore cache or data or should i go to titanium backup

the new market is kinda buggy. I never had any problems with the market till they switched it to Play but now sometimes it acts weird.
 
Yeah , I knew that it wasn't 3.3 since no one else had reported the problem . Crazy thing is that nothing worked (wiping data , re-installing app , re-installing 3.3 and a few other things) except the sd ext restore . Kinda weird man . Ya gotta love that old trusty CWM , lol . It saves the day once again . :D
 
I wish there was a way to make updates for ct mod and other roms that didnt require full wipes. Dont get me wrong i love ctmod. It's better than other ROMS ive tried. Had little to no problems with it like i have with others. It's really more annoying than a real problem. As far as the beats audio thing it does make a difference, It adds more bass to the songs played with it even before the EQ app is added i compared it next to my wifes stock music and there was a definitely a difference.
Thanks again Bloodawn for the awesome ROM and Kouma for the kernel without you guys this phone wouldnt be as good as it is now
 
All you need to do after installing a new version is either restore the sd ext. from a CWM backup or restore a backup from Titanium . It really doesn't take that long if you use one of those options .

As for Beats Audio , did you read this article and look at the tests that were done ?

I tried it with a very good set of headphones and really didn't notice a difference until the EQ was enabled . Maybe it was the EQ or maybe a combination of the 2 . I couldn't tell ya . All I do know is the tests that were ran compare the audio with and without Beats . By looking at them , there was little if any change .
 
yeah ive read all of that but my ears dont lie lol i put the same exact song on both my phone and my wifes which is set up the exact same way as mine with the exception of beats and there was a noticable increase in bass even she said there was(she has a very very good ear for music) there may not be much of a difference but it is still a difference
 
Were you using the EQ too or did you try it both times with just Beats ?

I'm not saying that I doesn't work , I'm just saying that I didn't notice a difference until I used the EQ . Your ears are probably better than mine too . I listened to a lot of LOUD rock n roll back in the day . lol :D
