Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

haptic feedback is working again too...didnt bother me one way or another...

nice, the in call screen lock isnt fudged up anymore...even when i turn the screen off and on again...

Bluetooth is working good still
but a question..it might just be mine...

in bluetooth settings,
under Discoverable Timeout..
i chose NEVER...
under it says "Discoverable for %1$s seconds..."

it said the same thing with 3.2

other than that..nicely done..jsut keep getting better and better.

link2sd makes its way into the conversation, because for some reason, I'm sure it was user error, I was still running out of space with CT2.X, so I was wanting to make sure that didn't happen. Once I saw that I had the entire sd-ext for data, it was unnecessary.


Now... can anyone tell me why the time shows correctly in the date/time settings, or if I go to the clock app, but the display in the upper right shows 7 hours ahead? E.g. it is 10 am here right now, and the display shows 5pm.

For those of you that are having trouble with the new market not showing your purchased apps , I put this together using Bloodawn's ApkInstaller.zip (Thanks Bloodawn) .

You will need to uninstall the new market before you install this version.

I thought that I had fixed the problem by installing just the sd-ext from a CWM backup but upon further inspection , I saw that the market was just registering the apps that were installed from the sd-ext backup and not all of the apps that I had bought .

If you flash this in CWM it will install an older version of the Market . You will sign in to it and it will allow you to access ALL of the apps you've purchased .

The app updated to the new market aprox. 4 minutes after activation so the old version is not permanent . The new market will continue to allow access to ALL purchased apps . Use it if ya need it , leave it if ya don't . :D

Hey Bloodawn,

Trying out the 3.3, awesome stuff, so smooth!

Just wondering if you knew anything about the haptic feedback for the bottom four buttons, I have it enabled in the settings, but it doesn't seem to work. Though I asked before, someone in this thread suggested to just reinstall your mod again to see if that would work, but it didn't. Any help please? :)
 
Weird, I just tried to apkinstaller.zip swype back into my phone and for some reason cwm says it's installed but it really doesn't when I boot up the phone, doesn't show it in the applications list. Tried a few more times and still same thing.

I know that you can now just install a swype app from the market instead, but is there a way to install the stock one? or is there a better one I should get from the market instead?

It won't show in the apps
Go to settings
Language and input and select swype.

Go to BROWSER or MESSENGER

On the text box, press and hold it.

A pop up will say INPUT METHOD

Select android keyboard (stock) or Skype

Success.
 
i have been using wi-fi tether for a very long time.After changing prl I usually get at least 600-800kbs. Stays above 1000kbs in certain areas. Switched to 3.3 and now I can't even get 100 kbs. To be honest it has not gone over 20 kbs. Doesnt matter if my signal is weak or strong either. I downloaded 3.3 again and reinstalled it just in case but it didnt help. Went back to 3.1 (didnt use 3.2 because I coudnt get dta2sd to install) and my speeds went back up. Any idea why?

Thanks, but it doesn't show in the input method, I guess I forgot to mention that? Swype will not install using apkinstaller.zip flashed through CWM now with ctmod 3.3 installed on my phone.

I ended up finding out about swype beta, so I got that instead right now, but if anyone knows what's wrong with the traditional method, please reply.

sprint paid me $1000 to slow down tethering.

really tho, I don't know. nothing related to 3g/wifi is different in 3.3 from any other version.

you are using the new app zip aren't you?

every app in it has been tested and works
 
Blood and anyone else do you have any specific tweaks on your phones? just wondering what tweaks you guys have on your phones I currently have 66citbun and in the process of putting the adreno update for ctmod. Anyone have any specific ones? especially 3g tweaks for some reason CDMA doesn't work anymore saying my trail expired so I cant change my prl

other then the new adreno mod CTMod should already include any tweaks you'd want

I've tested pretty much every tweak, script and included the ones that actually made a difference

sprint is so evil! lol
well i stayed on 3.1 for about an hour while tethering and all was good. the only difference I can think of is that with 3.1 i use dta2sd.

btw thanks for takin the time to answer. really like your roms. almost never have problems with them and if i do its usually something i caused with out knowing lol

I have missed the comments about problems with the new market, in my case I have no problems with Play Store.

And silly of me by posting this, but in case anyone notice the Play Store now have all your apps on the right side (slide to the left) not at the bottom like the market.
Mine also is also showing all the apps that I have downloaded since I got my phone.

Yeah, I don't care much for that. Especially since it's showing all the games i downloaded back when i was testing the SD-ext kernel stuff. They should let you delete them from your history
 
blood i noticed u said all the tweaks that made a diff are in your rom should i be putting the 66 citbun tweak in.

also if i just install this over 3.2 will it work?
