Root [ROM][CWM][KERNEL] CM7.2-RC1-requisite0 BETA2

So I just realized that with the fastburst camera working on this ROM then there must be a line or lines of coding that allow it to work while the camera that comes within the ROM doesnt. Other camera apps must have the same type of coding that the ROM camera has so that's why other camera apps dont work. The fastburst app is different somehow. If only work on this continued or we had official support or if it had been completed but we don't know cause Req is banned :/ Unfortunately there is only one dev here that is probably capable of completing this ROM or creating his own version, yet he isnt available at the moment. One's life has to come first after all

Well, PlayfulGod stated a few weeks ago that Req is still working on it, even reworked the kernel, but I haven't even seen Playful on here in a while. As for the FastBurst Camera, Req had looked into why that one worked and the CM7 camera didnt but it was VERY shortly after that he was banned so I don't know what became of it. Also, I tried MANY other cameras on CM7 and none of the ones I tried on the Market worked, all of them crashed and said it couldn't connect. :/
 
I know, what PG, said. I've read it but you would think we would have an update from Req himself. There so many forums out there, I tried finding a way to contact him but couldn't. Even his github hasnt have a update in a while. I also tried a bunch of camera apps too and fast burst was the only one that worked in the end.
 
This rom is great once you have everything situated. fast burst camera works perfectly and I prefer it over the default camera. I'm using MX video to watch videos. Very snappy rom. Hopefully this will be finished some day, wish I could do it my self

yeah sometimes that happens on this rom but it usually goes away and if not then a quick reflash should do the trick. other users have reported that. i never had the issue though
 
I dont know kage, your answer seems like its more of the same.
If im wrong please convince me because i drank the koolaid before and the rom im on Is working great .

From what I hear its an improvement but I haven't been able to boot it up when I flashed it lol its worth a try though. Ill try again some other time
 
Well i'll list some of the changes, fixes and bugs that i've noticed.
  • Data still isn't working right off the bat(even after flashing metron2 still nothing)
  • There's a weird bug in about phone that says your number is unknown( i thought my service was off) but it doesn't affect calls
  • You still can't watch youtube vids in hg
  • Apparently this new compiled kernel can only go up to 800mhz like the stock kernel
  • There's a new boot animation
  • The signal bar is constantly at full bars (which i know isn't true on my end)
  • The taking pictures issue still exist

That's about it well that i've noticed. Personally i won't stay on it until data is working.

Seems like its,still the same
 
This is the metron2 mms fix that baby_jesus uploaded last year but deleted for whatever reason so i'm just posting it here because i randomly don't want it on my computer lol.

Wait, what if I have CMW 5.0.2.8 but I might be on CM 7.2 Alpha 5? Do I install like a regular rom or do i install kernel or.... Im most likely guessing you install as if it was a regular rom

Alpha 5 what the heck? The kernel is optional so just install it like a regular rom
 
Lmaoo I think I have alpha 5 but its been running smooth but when I install beta 2 and let is sit for around 30 minutes, i still get the E:// Cache errors and 409 or whatever number it is for play store error, but it did work once so maybe if I play around with it again?

When you get the cache errors you just gotta reflash the rom. And reboot recovery instead of reboot system so you can check to see if the cache errors reappear.

I do both those things and we I reflashed it didnt work except for once, so I got to try again and I use reboot recovery to check for these errors
