Root [ROM][DEV][WIP] CyanogenMod 10 for the LG Spirit 4G

Done unbricking and re-rooting twice. Back to Katana until I figure out how to get data on cm10 .... can't figure it out.
I could not get a drop of data at all. I would even settle for 1x right now

Since I can't read all the replies above...what are the only things needed to be fixed until CM10 is good for everyday use?

that depends on what you can/cant do w/o ;)

Data and bluetooth are the main things atm, and we're close on both of those. ;)

In cm select lte/CDMA toggle data off then back on.

When I get home I'll get the cm10 repo from pg's website apply the fix and see what happens, that's if no one beats me too it.

Yeah, it used to take me less than an hour, but I ran my dev laptop into ground when I was doing development for the Ascend and Triumph. Also, did building for the Ubuntu Unity project too. My poor laptop is hanging on by a thread now.

You'll have to pull the source to build. It's quite big (11 gigs, IIRC), so it might take awhile depending on your connection. PG has up-to-date building instructions: https://github.com/playfulgod/android_device_lge_l1m/blob/jellybean/README.md

Then, just drop my hopeful fix per the instructions from my post.

11 gigs hmm, around an two or three hours to download then,I got 50mbps down speeds from Comcast,if I cut Netflix and hulu from my gf,I could download it sooner. How fast do you think my rig would compile this? When I was trying to build akosp for the spirit before giving up it(I realized I was in way over my head) took around 19 min.

your specs again??

I do builds from clobber in about 30m, init repo sync in about 30m on 30M form charter. And I have a AMD 1100T 6x, 16GB RAM, 2x 1TB hdd.

2x2tb HDD,3570k @4.2ghz, gtx5602gb(not sure of this matters),8gb 1800mhz ram.Ubuntu is installed on a laptop 500gb HDD though. I use an ssd, but that's my hackintosh boot.

guessing 3570k is a i7?? you mentioned 8x, so you should get similar build times as me, maybe better with ccache.

Loving the data. It rocks. Cm10 ... yes, finally. Can't wait for LTE. And I see PG and others are already working on it

I'm getting data 3g and 1x but when I switched back to my backup I wasn't getting 4g until I went back to cm10 and put network back on lte /cmda/evdo strange but I don't know why it stuck to cdma even when I restore a backup but it work so it's Ok

Radio settings are not in /data...rather a separate partition untouched when switching from ROM to ROM. This is why when we flash ROMs, our phones' CDMA programming don't get messed up from erasing everything.

Oh sheets i got 3g!!! Im getting almost 2Mbps down. not to bad.

Edit/Update: I've been using this ROM all night long at work. It's really nice, really smooth and quick. 3g is working pretty good and by morning GPS/Location finally started working. Once the 4g/BT and video play is fixed this thing is going to be boss. :congrats:Great work PG and those that helped.

I noticed that the headphone sound seems to be better than stock Spirit ROM. WiFi is really fast also. I was downloading apps with crazy speed.

I've had 3g all night and morning. Awesome.
Tried the hotspot built in to the system and couldn't get that to work even with the help of some hotspot apps ......

Thank you so much PG for all your work. You are a great asset to us all. Just wanted to say thanks cuz you always respond and keep us updated

I got the ROM and I can't go on the Internet on the status bar it says no Internet signal but I can still send Messages and make calls

I am an a-hole... I have used pg's and Isaac's and all the other devs ROMs,fixes and mods since the accend days and to be honest I have never donated to him, or anybody else (to be fair I'm always broke, hence metro user), and you guys have made my phone experience exponentially more enjoyable, so I always feel like a douche when I'm flashing something that I know I'm not going to donate. I recently opened my own company and I have made a resolution, I will donate $200 (I know its not much but its something) amongst the devs that have worked on the phones that I have had when I get paid for my first job which I just finished. Also my company (well me actually) does anything that u might need in a house (repairs, remodeling, etc) so if u live in sofla, I'm ur man, I can hook u up, I also work on cars, more as a hobby but I do know quite a bit, so I can help u guys with that too, not just the devs, anybody, I love being of help to others, and I love solving problems...
I guess what I want is to show my huge appreciation for the devs and this awesome android community, and since my biggest talent is my hands that's the best I can offer.
Once again thanks PG, Issac, GBig, GameT and everybody else that my burned out brain can't remember for making our metro experience that much better, all hail the Devs!!!
