Root [ROM] GB-CMod7-Beta

not the right vending.apk the system files in cm7 are rw-r--r--
the one you gave me is rwxr-x:(

Download the gapps from a different 2.3 rom and flash that in recovery that will fix your problems. Preferably be in wifi range so you can update them all quickly

Try to wipe. Select each option separately
Worth a shot. My phone was crashing constantly after I got it rooted and started flashing; I think I reflashed a ROM without clearing all caches. Now I make sure to use each wipe option before I flash a ROM, and I haven't had a random reboot in a while.

might i remind you all, when swapping system apps, make sure they aren't odex'ed if they are you have to give both the .odex and the .apk, the rom is an odex'ed rom so a good # of apps have important odex's that go with them :)

So I am experiencing this screen lag that some people are reporting for the first time... don't know what the problem is yet. Will look into it.

haha, you'll notice it again... it's really not that big of a deal. usually just touching the screen will make it turn on faster if it does lag.

I should have been more specific, I was referring to the landscape lag :)

i think the more apps you use the worse it gets as it pre-loads.

if we can get overclocking on our kernels it should help.

soooooo the GPS issue doesn't seem to be an issue lest your standing still when it miss-locates :O

i just field tested the GPS on a small journey to a class trip location. i cleared my maps and browser gps info first and located while stationary to make sure it could locate me right :D then the little over half hour drive it tracked me 100% accurate :D

only issue i had was when driving back, lost GPS connection for a while because someone called and it interrupted my signal for some reason >.> but cutting gps off and on for a half second each did the trick :)

EDIT!______

it was able to use the full gps as well of the app, points of interest, location down to exact Long/lat, speed traveling, speed limit of current located road, and traffic in area. c:
navigation app i used was Navigon

the issue that people are having mostly is aGPS/A-GPS/Assisted GPS.

this is a networked based location tracking. pretty much your phone can determine, with the help of a file that it downloads, to locate your where abouts based on the cell tower triangulation(or more).

it's like how google determines exactly where a wifi point is at when they are war-driving... I mean when they are doing there google maps drive arounds.

well then that would explain why i lost GPS when i got that call, metro doesn't support data while a call is in place or coming through, thus no data to assist c:

blehhh g-maps, street view and all, i'm glad i live in apts with restricted road usage ^^

Dont know if this help but having widgetlocker installed really fixes the blackout before unlocking..well fixes it about 80% more

well its wayy better than the normal lock screen well for me atleast, try it out and see for yourself that blackout happens way less than the normal lockscreen, and hey widgetlock isnt really that bad!its not bad at all!

I've been using WidgetLocker for a few days now without issues. No lags, no random reboots. I went back to 2.2.1 though. 2.3 really isn't that special it seems, and I'd rather not have my favorite program crash everytime I use it.

Hoping that reppard gets things ironed out, or that LG's release is coming soon.

I flashed an ascend last night and i can say CM7 moves pretty damn smooth with it overclocked.

but then again this is going from 2.1 to 2.3.4
