ahhhhhh, been real busy and getting caught up. I tried to hit up that link but they removed it due to being all over the place. any other links that go the same direction you were reffering too?
 
@Havokk yeah their finally changing the site. Next time I go there I'll see if I can find it.


@kelso Don't act like your doing me a favor by flashing the roms I make. Your not. For a majority of it I can test out on my phone. The rest I got beta testers. I know when there's a problem before I put the rom out. Lets face it though your really angry about the fact that I wouldn't teach your dumb ass. If you don't know how to flash a rom even though there are videos on the exact steps and multiple written guides in case the videos are not slow enough for you. It's three step process how do you mess that up? I mean really you need throw your phones in a lake.
All these problems your having are you sure it's even an optimus m? You didn't find it in a crackerjack box did you?

flashing this rom now. Seeing what's up with it.

When going through google setup asks me to slide out keyboard but can't figure out how.

screen went into sleep mode... pressed the back button and saw only a signal icon on the top nothing else.

His the power button on top and it closed off like a tube tv and can't get screen back on.

Powering back on. skipped the google account setup.

update: waited on the bars showing and the rest of the screen came up. but if you hit that power button... you can't power the screen back on. so have to pull the battery out. Pulled the batter out while plugged into charger and placed back in and hit the power key... screen comes back... but blacks out again.

Definately just a sleep mode for the screen. Hit the volume keys and I can here it. but no screen
 
That's the phaser it's a new feature cyanogen put in but doesn't work if you disable it in cyanogen settings your phone won't do that.

I couldn't find any phaser feature in cyanogen mod settings. could it be named something else? I switched the phone to not turn off the screen while charging in the mean time, cause that was pretty buggy.
 
im not pissed.just wondering why all of a sudden you have an attitude.all i asked is why im getting a boot loop..simple answer would have been acceptable.instead you had to make a wise crack.i know im not doing you a favor but i said it as a compliment to you,as in, im flashing YOUR rom cuz you do good work and i would like to check it out.since i have suggested your roms to others i help out.so dont act like i admire you or anything.just wanted some help.thanks anyways.
 
Ok thats wonderful, moving forward. I'm having issues navigating to that feature. If anyone knows shout it out please :)

it might be the PRL, i switched my test unit to a prl for Verizon and i have signal regardless of data on or off..

also i might want to add, im not used to android CDMA but usually when programming a cdma there are certain codes such as:

##7664726690 which is takes you to programming which is ##PROGRAM690 <-typically it ends with model number this being MS690

##3282# which takes you to the data programming ##data#

##786 which is to reset to factory

all this is missing from the regular 2.2.1 build-i assume this phone cannot be programming with those things removed
there are several APKs in the 2.2.1 or 2.2 build that are not included here which leads me to think that might be it not sure... here they are

@mikelkelso421- asadullah has done something nice for us FOR FREE. he has a bit of leeway and though he did say something you might find to be a bit rude, it is because there was a problem not with his rom but with you... maybe not directly, like say you had a bad download that wasnt complete or whatnot.... the point is: his rom works and we dont necessarily know why some people may have a bootloop.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go read my post: here and I can assure you that you will definiftely learn a lot. I have been on your end where I did not know much or may have had issues but I assure you that when you are comfortable enough to just mess around with your phone then you can most always find a fix to it.... it just takes time.

That being said for anybody here- DROP THE EFFING DRAMA (and that goes for anybody in this community)... I say this out of love

ok heres my rundown-

-accelerometer not working
-usb gets plugged in and when you go to turn on usb connection it ejects the sd card (sd card is safe to remove)
-cm7 settings>system settings> all options except changelog FC
-OC settings unavailable (thats a kernel issue right?)
-apparently no metro service (i do not even have paid service on my phone to test anything)
-also when turning the phone on from sleep the screen lags and you have to "blind" unlock your phone
 
Your correct, there is no service.
What is the onlock process blind, I didn't quite figure it out.
asadullah said there is a way to turn that "phaser" setting off, but I never found it.

when you lock your phone and the screen goes off then when you unlock it it lags and the screen comes on but is usually black for me. I found that having a live wallpaper strangely worked to fix this mostly....

the other thing is the "phaser" is easy to fix

click menu button, go to settings>cyanogenmod settings>display> screen on and screen off animations get turned off.... easy peasey

the issue is with graphic processing is my guess, see this is a port from the 2.3 for optimus V. and the hardware in there although almost a perfect match, is still not a clone of. this rom isn't taking full advantage of all the hardware in our phones but you have to expect as much from a rom that was just barely ported for testing after it was found to be stable enough for using. but yes live wallpapers are always running so the processing for the screen always has to be refreshed, even when the screen is off, there for it's not really stopping the gpu its just lowering how much its handling. :)

BAH! I looked at it and didn't even consider hitting that thinking I was just going to screw it up more....

Any hopes of getting this rom working? For the most part shouldnt the hardware be similiar to the optimus v? I would think that it should be just a matter of porting over the metro pcs settings specific to this phone. I dont know thats just my uneducated guess anyways. I would really like to see this rom working on this phone I rooted a optimus V and put this bad boy on there and its pretty damn sweet.
 
just a heads up, i have not worked on this myself lately, been too busy. but i still have interest in it and trying to get it fully functional so don't completely lose hope :D!

im not too good myself tho so feel free too doubt me xD! lmao
 
okay i just flashed this Rom and as far as getting service i end up getting virgin network when im with metro pcs i havent got the data working on it i need a way to connect to metro first then ill work on the data

I stayed up all night trying to get phone service on this rom. Data will be easy I think, here is an apn configuration file for that but the actual phone service has to be buried deep in a system file...possible in a apk or jar because I have found no simple config file in the obvious places. Will keep looking though.
 
Ive gotten it to no longer say virgin mobile but its still not connecting. Any one know all the property mnc and mms settings for metropcs? This could be as easy as flashing a few config files to fix
