Root [ROM] GingerSteem Extreme II for the LG Esteem MS910

I am pretty sure that I screwed the pooch in my process, but maybe it is a redeemable issue. I finally decided to make the leap to GSE-C this morning. I did a nandroid backup, and have successfully installed CSE-C v1.5. I did a restore, and up came the boot animation, etc, from my previous GSE 1.5 (the version with the Driod boot animation). I never got a chance to see what changes were made because I ended up with a boot loop.

Back to recovery and no problems there, but I am curious about how I should go about reloading my data and apps without messing anything else up. Should I do an advance restore and just restore "data"? Or is there something I missed when I was doing my backup?

did you actuallly update to zvc and rooting before flashing the rom?

did i miss this somewhere. ive been checking this thread every day in the main page waiting to get my hands on this.. is this the same one from this rom that has teh homeless battery settings too ?

edit: im going to wait for confirmation on this. it appears to be the exact same size as the old 2.2 extreme kernel. and i cant find any threads on this forum talking about the newest rom kernel being released...

i do look forward to the day i can have the looks of the old gse rom with the new kernel and battery benefits of this rom.

just use thu rom u want and then flash homeless 1.3 ;)

Some clarification please.... is this "homeless setting" already active in
GSE-C_v1.0? Or do you have to flash it or go into some setting to activate it.

They are are ready compiled into the kernel, no settings for anything that I know of, but k can clear that up or anyone already running the homeless kernel.

Thats a problem with the Facebook app i believe, cuz it used to work until recent updates. Then( like everything else in the app) stopped working right.

Yeah...I just started going through m browser...its better that way in my opinion. It pisses me off that some of the most basic things can't be done from the Facebook app...

is the theme from GSE1.5 available for this. that would solve all my issues right there.

the only reason i dont go full out with this rom is it looks nothing like gse1.5 and to me that was one of the best things about that rom. the unlocker was very clean looking so was the drop down bar and what few icons were themed in it as well. so far no other theme / rom has as nice a look to it from my perspective. hence why i really want this kerenel on that rom. if that makes since.

The theme on gse 1 os spc_hicks ginger fusion. ;)
 
so im not sure if this has been brought up but i just updated to zvd and then flashed over gse ii 1.0 with absolutly NO problems... running it now!
 
well, i threw it on b without knowing if it would work, so i would give it a try... just remember you're risking your device...

also, i was wondering if there is a way to implement talking and data at the same time like from what i hear on the attain and connect... that would be fricken sweet!!!!
