Root [ROM] ICS Elite Aeneas Build

I have downloaded ICS Elite R3.zip several times. Everytime I try to install it I get E:cant open (bad) Installation Aborted.

What gives? This is far from my first rodeo. Am I missing something? The file size when downloaded is 121 MB
 
until I can fix my last update,im referring people to ktb's mediafire download of this rom. sendspace is capping the downloads. and i cant for the life of me get mediafire to upload properly. its slow as crap. if anyone can successfully get the R3 download from here :Download ICS Elite R3.zip from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way and post it to mediafire. ill add the link to op and users can choose between R2/R3 for the different launchers.

Comin' right up... ICS Elite R3: (Link removed. People are having problems.)

I took your theme and made a more vanilla ICS theme with it, modded the main settings menu to function and look more like ICS and added reboot to the power menu.

Man I need the elite......
The nexus 7 8 gb is going down to $100 dollars this December so I'm iffy on getting this or the n7
 
Hey Curtis! Thank you for the ROM, but I can't flash the R3 version in CWM. I keep getting the following error message:

E:Can't open /sdcard/ICS Elite R3.zip

I was able to flash R2 though.

Downloaded R3 several times and tried all of them with no luck.
 
then it is corrupt. I will have to rebuild it. I think it happened during transfer to send space. sorry about that. others have had same issue on two different hosts. points to bad ROM. I'll take it down and leave up R2. thank you for bringing it to my attention.
 
Hey Curtis, is there a way to add Google Calendar to this ROM? I love this ROM so much, but being that I depend on Google Calendar for booking my band, I haven't been able to find a replacement for it.

I don't mind reading calendar. I am working on something with ktb and bll7 to mod the messaging app made by bll7 and a really nice rerender of parts of the ui by ktb. I'll put back calendar for you. I won't have anything done until Monday at earliest. work and other things have me busy.

OK, I have some modifications and features that are available to add to this ROM. I realize many people like it the way it is now, so if there isn't an overall consensus that my edits should be added, I won't. Be honest, I will not be offended.

Features
Power menu mod - Reboot, Recovery and Screenshot
CRT-off animation enabled

Modified
framework-res.apk - It looks a little more like what I would consider vanilla/holo ICS. There are some more things I might change around, but not very soon.

Settings.apk - slightly modified menu listings (wifi settings, bluetooth and battery use listed in the main menu) and added headings to group the listings.

Curtis1973, the rom is great and very very speedy but for the life of me I cannot get the picture review working. Just FYI, I am not new at this and I went ahead and wiped everything. I got the camera working but the little square picture reviewer, when I tap on it....it doesn't do anything. When i go to the ics gallery, it works but just not in the camera app. It did work with harmonia when I had that rom. Rebooted multiple times as well.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

You could try putting this copy of CameraApp.apk in your /system/app/ directory and rebooting.

You do have the stock gallery or something like QuickPic installed, right?
 
i cant test the camera app directly,but like i said i edited nothing in the camera apps nor the gallery. but it might be wise to redownload the stock aeneas rom and get a fresh set of these files added to the rom in case something is fouled up in mine. also i have everything added from ktb and bll7 to the rom. now i need to check on this issue with the camera stuff. should have a final upload ready by morning. ive got 3 laptops that need repair and my customers wont wait so i have to take care of that first or i dont eat lol..but we shall have this thing finished by tomorrow.
